I should be able to confirm whether i'm going or not in a week or two, depends on money as well as being able to find a train that goes by Brands.

If I'm working at the time then I might head down to Brands, it's really all going to depend on whether or not I have any income at that time.

I'll be there, I'll be there, I'll be there! I doubt if I will be camping though unless Craig, Maisie, Chris etc are up for it. I have just purchased my first tent and haven't a clue about putting these things up! I think a Wendy house would have been a better option for me

Spoonerboro - pester me for exchanging mobile phone numbers (if you have one) so we can arrange meeting up, if you don't mind. It hasn't always deemed successful by exchanging "what ya wearing" conversations in the past.

I'm up for camping if the meeting goes ahead! I did have somewhere lined up to stay during the gaps between Donington on Saturday night, Snetterton on Sunday, and Brands on Monday, but it's fallen through. Oh well!

Was thinking of camping at Snett on Sunday night, but maybe if others are camping at Brands, i'll head down there instead and save myself an early start Monday!

Anyone know *where* you actually do camp at Brands ?

Help! Never been to Brands before so will need some help with directions and a camping site. Someone help otherwise I will end up going round in circles trying to find somewhere to stick a tent. There will be lots of bad language and fighting with family.

Not camped there myself but I seem to recall seeing tents in the field behind the entrance opposite the pit straight (does that make sense?). Still not decided what to do about Easter weekend. I'll definately be at Donington for the ALMS on Sat and Brands on Mon, but Sunday is still a bit of a mystery. I'd like to go to Snetteron for the PowerTour but feel I realy should be at Brands for BTCC qualifying. That's assuming of course any of these are still going ahead.

Redshoes what i'll do is contact Brands on monday and see if they'll allow people to camp in "the field by the entrance opposite the pit straight" and I will inform everybody of the verdict.

Ah! That be the place I desperately stopped off for the loo before heading back to the Buckinghamshire area beginning of last season. Is that right, Redshoes? I know where you mean. very close to the actual circuit entrance behind the pit straight.

Yeah but what I meant was that I could use the Fax back service and that would give us ticket booking information and more importantly details on accomodation. And if that doesn't tell us about this possible campsite by the entrance, then i'll phone them and speak to them.

Oversteer you are a true gentleman, I would be grateful if you could let us know about the camping site, I shall certainly make sure there is a beer for you that weekend, subject to the MSA,I hope that this f&m outbreak is brought under control and motorsports won't be affected too much.

Thanks Oversteer. We could do with adding that information to the circuit guides so we can pass it on to Carrie, maybe?

BRANDS CAMPING

Brands hatch offer camping behind the main straight, you access the campsite from just behind the main entrance next to the hotel, charges in august last year were 5 pounds per car but we only paid 5 for two cars dont ask me how
there is a local spar shop which has all the provisions you need eg beer, more beer, and even more beer, there is also a local curry house all within walking distance, the brands hatch club house is open for more beer and the local pub in the village aint too bad, campsite facilities areok good shower unit which we usually camp next door to to be first in the shower, and ps if anyone blows out the pilot lite in the boiler please bloody relight, toilets are about on campsite there not too bad, brands hatch does not let you walk around the circuit at night unlike thruxton / silverstone, however we managed to hope over a fence whilst walking the circuit backwards at dingle dell, however we got chased by massive rockwhilers or whatever they were down the hawthorns straight, also at night walking around brands hatch is like blair witch so bring a torch

Please tell me you weren't seriously considering camping at Snetterton if you didn't need to?! Leave that until the BTCC night race, please!!

I can officially confirm that there are camping facilities at Brands and that it's 5 pounds at the gate.

He was Dan! Anyhow - you stayed in the car at Snetterton last year. And what makes you think camping gets any better? It still consists of campsite wilderness and a tent between you and the outside world (can't believe I'm camping myself!)

Spoonerbro - I have replied to your email.

I am still having nightmares about that generator, Redshoes! Awful!

I lack the experience of camping but usually under the influence of a few bevvies to care! I am, saying that, still to get good night's sleep in a tent. If it isn't generators, it's people snoring!
