Daniel is a deserving champion, but the second race itself sounds to have been rather a scrappy affair.

Shame that Max's first win was behind the Euroseries guys, but good on him!

Will van der Zande be allowed to finish 2nd in the championship ahead of Grubmuller?

I guess so... It doesn't really matter anymore, i think they will more rather try and get the teams championship now.

Daniel Ricciardo champion!!! Awesome result! Very deserved. He now will test for redbull f1 later this year in the rookie sessions which is awesome, and 2010 will most likely go to gp2 or wsr. Hopefully 2010 is another great season!

Well done Dan - amazing season.

It will be interesting to see where he goes next year, but along with Bianchi - these are two F3 stars that seem destined for a big future.

Now I know why. No puncture as in the first race or anything like, just the usual tap on the shoulder from Hitech, even though it was pointless and did nothing to help Grubmuller Jnr. I hope Max remembered to thank him for the win afterwards!

Possibly not, because Grubmuller only has to score 10 points at Brands to regain 2nd.

Renger won't be there, because for some reason he will contesting the F3ES round in Barcelona.

I hope Grubmuller doesn't manage to score any more than 10 points at the final round! What a ridiculous situation it has been this year with Hitech, thats just not motor racing.

Back from Algarve in the small hours this morning..what a track! and great facilities.
There is even an outdoor swimming pool in the paddock; which the Carlin boys made sure both Max Chilton and Daniel Ricciardo made use of after the race!
Both races are a "must watch" on TV

Zande slipped back
In race 2 after off track excursion he picked up some astroturf that wedged in the front of his car.
Great result for Carlin Dan wins championshp amd Max gets first and well deserved win .
Brands should be a great race next weekend

In the official website report it says that van der Zande dropped back in the second race because he had a puncture. In the report on autosport.com it refers to the astroturf that zip is talking about. I've given you my version; it's up to you to decide which you believe.

On a brighter note, Ricciardo's win was the second in succession for a Red Bull-sponsored, Carlin Motorsport-entered driver, also the first by an Australian since David Brabham in 1989.

Finally, it was the first win for Volkswagen in a major F3 Championship, so congratulations all round.

Brands will be interesting, because with the title secured I think you will see Ricciardo let off the leash. For the last few races he has been thinking about making sure of winning the title, which is a very smart approach, but that's done now.

Van der Zande has bowed out of the British F3 International series and will race in Euro F3 at Barcelona this weekend instead of Brands Hatch, according to autosport.com.

Fortec to run a 3rd car again.

In the wake of Renault being taken to court for race-fixing, I wonder if an F3 team is getting nervous...

Believe Daniel McKenzie will drive an "A" Class car for Fotec at Brands, having won the National Class Championship last weekend.

At the end of the day deliberately backing up the field forcing title rivals off the circuit is a danger to marshalls and other competitors There is little difference to what occured in Singapore.

Thanks, zip, but I'm not confused and prefer to stick with the version of events that I know to be true. Especially when I read posts like the one below.
