Garey Guzman should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
March 708/9 718/9 729 Formula Ford

Hello all. I became an owner of a March Formula Ford last year and in doing research on it, I've compiled some extra info about March FFs. Although I bought my car as being 719-2, it looks like it is 719-1.

Here's a list of what I've come up with. Feel free to add/correct any of it!
708-1
708-2
708-3
708-4
708-5 Became 718-2 (Colin Andrews (UK))
708-6 Became 718-1 (Bill Stone, Frank DelVechio, etc)
708-7
708-8

709-1 Ric Forest, Jim Land, Barry Fox, Larry Dahlstedt on Jan 12, 1976, Daniel M Lazar on July 29, 1976, John Thompson on April 2, 1988, Ed Werner (no date), M. Glyn Walters Nov 2002, Tony Cove Jun 2016
709-2 There were two entries for March 709 in the 1971 ARRC at Road Atlanta with Jack Baldwin entered in FF and Fred Ashplant entered in FC. Since Canadian Jim Land owned -1, it is possible that Jack and Fred were sharing a chassis that Fred had acquired. Fred didn’t start the FC race per SCCA records.

718-1 Bill Stone (UK) rebuilt from 708-6
1. Frank Maderi, millbrook,ny-st ptete,fl, owned as of 2/23/13, was asking about selling it on ApexSpeed
2. Currently in parts waiting for assembly by Kevan McLurg in England
718-2 Colin Andrews (UK) rebuilt from 708-5
718-3 Chris Tipping (UK) by 1976 running FF in UK with Willie Moore [chassis plate observation 16 May 76]
718-4 Andrew Chatburn (UK) retained 1972, chassis plate observation 31 March 72

719-1 Gordon Dewar (Canada) frame AM/71/7 (Ken Junck in 1973 DNS Canadian RRoC due to crash)
719-2 Ric Forest (Canada) frame AM/71/5 by June, 1972 André Lorent, Calgary see Canadian Motorsport Yearbook, Dec. 73
719-3 Frame AM/71/11 Tom Johnston, …., Walter Hagstrom (Laguna Nigel, Calif, May 88), Norm Keiser (12/26/89), Big Boys Toys/George Raterink (CO, 1990), Buddy Cooperberg (NY, 5/22/90), David Calafato (10/3/97), current Nate Scigliano (PA )

729-1 former Ron Jenkins in the 80’s, went down under?, Peter Landan
729-2 former Bernie Fling in the 80’s,
729-3 Sam Nicolosi (has original Mitchell invoice), Nils Sanborn (? Allan Chou says his is #3 and Nils was the first owner, the remainder of this list is from Allan), Joe Grimaldi, fully restored by Lee Chapman of Ct several years ago, Jeff Johnson, Scott Livingston (), Current Allan Chou (Westfield, NJ)
729-4 ….. Current Martin Lucas (NZ) purchased in parts from Wayne Mitchell.

729/713S?? ….Current Geoff Kelly (?)
729-7 …., current Jim Johnson

I'm guessing that March FFs aren't a hot topic!

Updates as of 2-12-20

Feel free to add/correct any of it!
708-1
708-2
708-3
708-4
708-5 Became 718-2 (Colin Andrews (UK))
708-6 Parts may have been used for for 718-1 as previously reported but a reciept for this chassis was found, sold as a kit to a UK company and car is now in Belgium
708-7

Further investigation has led to the theory that Fred's car was a 703. Per IM with Jack Baldwin, car is still owned by the original owner and is in Tallahassee, FL.

719-1 Gordon Dewar (Canada) frame AM/71/7 (Ken Junck in 1973 DNS Canadian RRoC due to crash), 1996 to Jeff Bye, kept 719-1 chassis plate prior to selling, ~2004 to Scott Livingston, restored, raced till 2009/10, sold to Wayne Lee with chassis tag 719-2 (not sure where the tag came from as Livingston remembered buying the car from someone in Canada but no name), to Garey Guzman Aug 2018
719-2 Ric Forest (Canada) frame AM/71/5 by June, 1972 André Lorent, Calgary see Canadian Motorsport Yearbook, Dec. 73, tag to 719-1 chassis sometime between 1997 and 2004 per prior owners of 719-1.
719-3 Frame AM/71/11 Tom Johnston, …., Walter Hagstrom (Laguna Nigel, Calif, May 88), Norm Keiser (12/26/89), Big Boys Toys/George Raterink (CO, 1990), Buddy Cooperberg (NY, 5/22/90), David Calafato (10/3/97), current Nate Scigliano (PA), for sale

729-1 former Ron Jenkins in the 80’s, went down under?, Peter Landan (Australia), for sale but not advertised. Per current owner, chassis AM/72/3, which led former owners to advertise as chassis 3. therefore, the prior history listed for 729-3 belongs to this car:
Nils Sanborn (? Allan Chou says his is #3 and Nils was the first owner, the remainder of this list is from Allan), Joe Grimaldi, fully restored by Lee Chapman of Ct several years ago, Jeff Johnson, Scott Livingston (), Allan Chou (Westfield, NJ), sold to Peter Landan
729-2 former Bernie Fling in the 80’s, currently in Australia, possibly for sale but not advertised
729-3 Sam Nicolosi (has original Mitchell invoice),
729-4 ….. Current Martin Lucas (NZ) purchased in parts from Wayne Mitchell.
729/713S?? ….Current Geoff Kelly (?)
729-7 …., current Jim Johnson (for sale)
