What if the 1986-87 & 88 rules were still being used now?
If we still had 1.5 litre inline 4, V6 and V8 turbo engines used today (2004) in F1 and we had the rules of 1986 (unlimited boost) 1987 (4.0 Bar) and 1988 (2.5 bar) still being used today with todays advances in engine technology and electronics what RACE power outputs would we have restpectivly for each rules 86, 87, 88 now?
I reckon; 88 rules = 800bhp up from (620bhp) 87 rules = 1100bhp up from (880bhp) 86 rules = 1200bhp up from (950bhp) What do you think...how bonkers would it be! |

I love the sound of the 1.5L V6 Hondas. No refuelling, balancing power against fuel consumption. Magic. |
