Agreed - good to see the backing for the car.
It was the need for the term 'all new' that I found interesting.

The Focus is described as new, but that is to promote the facelift to RS branding.

The Civic is new, because it is an entirely new car.

Most others tend to focus on the experience they already have in the car. Given that the BMR Levorg was seen by some as under-developed and under-tested last season, to introduce a new car (when they couldn't get to the bottom of an issue with the old one) seems a bit strange.

Dynamics Civics and HMS Alfa are new cars.

HARD VWs have been heavily reworked including roll cage changes and a shorter wheelbase, but still the same chassis.

Motorbase Focus has RS styling but the same car underneath.

Everything else is aero tweaks and new livery.

It was money. I said the drive was his a few weeks ago, but more cash was needed than he had at the time.

The kid was trying hard for TCR (world or a Euro series I can't remember) but couldn't get the cash together for that. BMR was his fallback position as I understand it.

If true the cost of the BMR ride might not be as big as some of us think and/or TCR really does cost quite a lot with all the jollying around the place.

Lets hope he can build on last year; he had a steep learning curve.

Robshillito1990 is a back marker
I find it odd how last year he started off as a fully fledged Subaru driver with the same livery as everyone else then it was like the other 3 cars were run seperately he never seemed to get the help from the others like Cole did which could explain his lack off pace and running near the back most of the time

As said by Alfisti, it comes down to money. BMR expected Cole to sign for another year, but he went off to Motorbase. Last year Price was the last minute fill the seat and keep the TBL, he didn't have a full seasons funding in place, but pulled in A-plan for the second half of the season.

Again this year they were looking for someone to bring some £££, obviously Price brought some (maybe not enough for the full season). Don't be surprised to see a mid season change of livery again.

As ever while all 32 seats are filled, there are a number that haven't got the full seasons funds in place, with the relaxing of the driver changes up from 1 to 2 per season, expect maybe a few more 'swaps' during the year.

Donington's new MSV red & white livery instead of the old blue & white one?

Colin McRaes old Subaru to replace the Levorg?...

In all seriousness I can't link the two; possibly BMR have contracted design/ fabrication of some components to Prodrive. Bit last minute if needed for running tomorrow!

Maybe they sold a truck that they no longer need to Prodrive? After all, BMR is only running three cars this year, down from eight a couple of years ago. They won't need as many trucks.

He's not a last-minute signing. He's been signed a while.

The delay in announcing is down to waiting for the sponsors.

You'll see another team with a big sponsor announcement this week. It doesn't mean that they have only just signed the sponsor, it means the sponsor didn't want to announce it until this week. The deal was done last year.

So why does Josh say that the decision to sign with BMR was only made after the snetterton test a couple of weeks ago?

And that at the time of his TCR UK test, he was still considering a Euro/World TCR drive?

"he considered a switch to the European series - but not TCR UK - before his BTCC plans were completed.

'Because of our budget it [remaining in the BTCC] was unrealistic at first'"
