Ramblings about the progression of forums
Ramblings about forum progressions in the 2013 GP2 Two Worlds Prediction Competition:
Nextgen-Auto: Finally they were the great winners this year. Thanks for the full support by Azur, our official French translator, the Competition ran at full speed in the Francophone section of this forum. Docky was their best scorer and occasional Competition leader, and lotusien and Greimito were also round winners. Chapeau for the great effort they did winning at last the Forums Championship, well supported as the forum with most inscriptions in all season. Autosport: Excellent runner-ups this year. With wattoroos as their best scorer, promised with the good ol' Makarias and scheivlak, both round winners like Bleu and rvd2hbk. Great thanks for the support given to the Competition from this very respectable forum. Los Tuercas: With another year with no Argie racers on GP2 (sympthom that could change next year), despite races televised on Argentina, made the participation being almost the same as last year, albeit mantained a core of five regular concursants who retained an honourable third place. I was the best of the pack, and Bessone Motorsport was the sole round winner of the forum. Great thanks for Los Tuercas for all the attention to the Competition done all over the year. Ten-Tenths: The core forum of GP2 TWPC was still unlike previous editions... They simply struggled in the quantity of players. Spearheaded by p-matt as their best scorer and eventual round winner, at least they had the privilege to have the other round winner Kassai who was the author of the highest score in a round in the Championships Round; wonder if the latter would not have abandoned the Competition at mid-season. Uol Esporte Brasil: Suggested by Iscurrega, round winner and best forum scorer, this Brazilian forum entered the Competition into Portuguese language. Pandora da Fiel and Killua also won rounds. We consider the income of this forum as a miracle. F1Revolution: Better prepared than last year, they dignified with a four-player pack to ensure their participation. Albeit they hadn't round winners, Hectorg was their best player and were full of confidence for their work in the Competition. Great thanks to Sentoan that did not participate but gave the prize for the Competition champion, a T-shirt of his website GP2Es. ClubF1: This Spanish forum shined again, despite low participation. Josef1 was the Champion and round winner, but only he and Marcos_F1 entered rounds, despite the pool of GP2 info they disposed in the forum. F1Latam: This forum kept the same amount of interest than previous season. The consistent El Pana was their only round winner, and IVAN was the only other one that performed well during the season as the best scorer. CarAndDriverTheF1: Caused by the few presence of Spanish drivers in the series, the interest of this forum continued very low along all year. pelagra and were their only round winner, and only regular scorer. Their other player Melendi did an occasional entry at the beggining of the season. We miss F1wingwins who did collaboration and support to the Competition the previous two seasons. Twitter: As the official Twitter channel of the Competition, it allowed to participate in a 140-character entry form using driver codes, but no-one took the challenge to do so. Then this participation became void, albeit it won some followers to get news about the progression of the Competition this year. In an aftermath, the season showed consistency in the number of players, despite GP2 isn't a novelty and many drivers are almost unkown to the users. The quantity of places to predict had arisen the scores up to 19 points this year. Fortunately, it was TV presence in Latin America, so people of forums of those latitudes could see the races during the year. But after all, we have to show gratitude to many users who trusted and put consistence to participate in this Competition. About 2014 Nextgen-Auto, Autosport, Los Tuercas, Ten-Tenths, F1Revolution and ClubF1 are ensured to continue; the rest will be put in consideration. Alas, we're opened to new communities to join - If you are in a forum or Facebook group where is interest on GP2 Series and want our Prediction Competition running there, give notice to us! On a last note, you may have noted there is a FR 3.5 Two Worlds Prediction competition alongside GP2 one - that is cause that both series are the main feeder series of F1, regarding drivers. These politics are keen to continue in 2014. Alas, we have planes to incorporate Formula E in the scheme - a great challenge considering the future. As we said before, the key name of the competition is "Two", since that number refers that the nature of the Two Worlds Prediction Competitions are following the predictions of the most important runner-up formula series which are under Formula One. |
