The Dallara LMP2 at the first chicane almost certainly took off. There's damage to the top of the armco on the right hand side (drivers right).

I know we tend to roll our eyes at the amount of yellows, but it is worth pointing out that the majority of the incidents were caused by Pros.

A Webber, then? Something could be very wrong with the aero on the Dallaras. Barichello saying he was afraid of the car last year, and taking off at Spa and probably now as well, even with a joker aero change in the meantime...

Conway spun, but he didn't stop the session. These other guys are causing slow zones and red flags.

That's just luck. Lapierre made a smaller mistake, and only one, it just happened to drag gravel everywhere. Conway just got away lucky with his issues.

I imagine similar to the Oreca Monza accident. Apparently a blow out caused it, so I'm guessing the car took off sidways, landed on the barrier and then went onto the tyres at the first chicane. That'd explain the armco damage and the debris everywhere. Doubt we'll get a video of it.

Eurosport natural sounds has some great footage in the garages (when the camera man isn't being a weirdo) of Signatech fixing the car right now.

They do not fight the privateers so they are trying to break the record.

Nakajimas lap is maybe even more impressive than last year's 3' 14 because there was no traffic and exceptional wind then.

During the test day they had quicker S1 and S3 as well. Interesting.

Worth noting that the Toyota best sectors could knock a further half a second off of the pole time. Which makes sense as the car should be as fast as last year.
