Also if we're talking road car enhancement deals.

How are DJR going?

Or what about Wayne Gardiner Racing?
Yes, I wasn't talking about direct factory financial backing of teams, which is a different kettle of fish.

By the way, if Stone Bros go to Mercedes-Benz then you would have to safety assume that Prodrive would be a shoo-in to continue receiving Ford money if the FPV separation was amicable and unless they get a better offer from another manufacturer.

The current Ford Australia president agrees that racing is in Ford Australia's DNA, so I can't see Ford pulling out any time soon. It rubs off on all their models, not just Falcon. And Ford is a heck of a long way further up the sales charts than Mercedes-Benz (hopefully that's covered all the retorts)

No, different market, different demographics. I'm sure Ford Europe are not currently fending off a hail of abuse from Ford fans the way Ford Australia would be if they pulled out of motorsport in Australia.

Ford is committed to FPR for next year and anything could happen in the next 12 months.

Ford Performance Vehicles will be 100% owned by Ford, so there is more incentive for them to get some rub off for that.

Ford could have easily closed FPV but they obviously see there's still a demand for performance vehicles and want to protect that passion.

Good times ahead.

I certainly hope so, am waiting (and maybe saving) for them to realease the last GT-HO, wouldn't that be an awesome way to bow out.

Non-Australians are too polite and respectful for that sort of caper.
