Lee Purnell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
According to Teletext, Vauxhall are planning to quit the british rally championship at the end of the year!
Is this true?
Does anyone know anything else to add to this story?
Could it spell the end of their touring car project as well as the rallying?? Or the start of a major touring car boost?
Ray Mallock LTD will continue to build and prepare the cars this year.

Seems to be pretty official unfortunatly. They are pulling out in an official capacity as new regulations are letting WRC cars back into the British Rally Championship and at the moment Vauxhaull do not have anything that could be used at a competitive level. Talk has it that RML will be preparing Vauxhaull kit cars for the new F3 1600 Kit car regs! That sounds interesting. Pity to see 2 fine drivers being put on the bench though.
