It rained during the grid walk..
Tis a steamy day now, hot and humid.. and some rain The RBRA cars are immaculate, so to the Benzes.. Seems odd for LDM to run both cars is white when their transporter is still stickered in 2012 sponsor iSelect. |

Is it just me, or the the Nissans and Mercs look "dated"?
I'm very excited about the competition this year and have been looking forward to the introduction of the brands, so in no way is this a "dinky dye aussie get out of our series" biased comment. Honestly they kind of look like "wagons" in comparison to the sleek Holdens and Fords, particularly the Mercs. JD Nissans look 'okay', but the real exception is the Irwin Merc, the paint scheme saved that one! It looks fantastic! But as for the other new entries... I just don't know... |

The Nissans look like airport rentals that have mistakingly found their way onto the race track. Not the sportiest lookers but seem quite speedy tho!
The sight & sound show from the Mercs is just the best, first time i've seen a 'wow' reaction from the crowd about a V8sc since...well 1993!! Not surprising they're down the order at first but hope to see their pace match their other atributes by Clipsal. |

The fact that Maro Engel has shaved 2 seconds off his previous best, and Reynolds is now up there, tells me that they are driving to a number and perhaps forgetting it in the heat of the moment.
