1975DCS should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Europeans coming to Lydden Hill!

Early this morning I got a mail (in respons on mine) and he confirms that they are coming to Lydden Hill!

That means good news for the spectators as this is the first Div 1 Golf to hit the UK?

They make constant progress with their re-developped and re-build Golf and this will be their first outing with the Golf on a very fast track...

Anyway give the man and his crew a big welcome! I am sure they appreciate that!

Cheers!

Koen Pauwels is also coming to Lydden Hill, and Patrick van Mechelen should be going too, if the engine problems are fixed.

It'll be good to see some different models out there - I hope Van Mechelen lasts a bit longer than his previous visit to Lydden! Is Pauwels driving the Fabia?

Are they seeing Lydden as a good pre-ERC warmup event?

Pauwels will enter his Focus in Lydden, but there's still hope to get a Helga in Lydden as Coox is looking to include Lydden in his race scedule.

bestrep has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
With free entries and free tyres on offer to the Europeans that come to Lydden, there should be several that would find the event tempting.

At this moment Van Mechelen is NOT going to Lydden.
If some more Belgian and / or Dutch drivers go he can change his plans.
He has planned a short Easter holiday at that time.

A holiday in Kent is nice.

When is the (provisional) entry list comming?

he has a lot of Engine problems
thats seems the reason I think

Also the second part of last year he was suffering with Engine problems
ERC Valkenswaard he did'nt start and the reliability in the national events was even gone.

I know this is not a serious comment, but to be hounest, if both Scooby and any 6R4 have no mechanical gremlins, the Scooby will beat any 6R4 fair and square.

But something else: is there a chance that either Jordan or Evans will enter for the Easter race?

Would be nice to see Evans and Jordan up against our Belgian and Dutch entrances. Would be great to see how they face up with the Fabia's, Impreza and Golf!

I really like the Astra of Evans, I think it is one of the best looking cars in the field! And it is prepped as neat and tidy as a WRC or roadlegal track car... Bardy I Want one! And I drive a VAG...

Yes I know (for the reasons he mentioned earlier). Too bad, because it would have been a very nice grid with a lot of my favs cars on.

Too bad I can't come either: I would love to see the 306 again, as the last time is saw it, it was in the hands of Gollop in the ERC...

You are damn right, I have been to a couple of ERC events and the only ones that come close to similar preparation are Hansen's Citroens or Eriksson's Fiestas!

Chris fell out with the BRDA over the publicity he recieved (or lack of) when he became BRDA champion.

Does anyone know if there are any Europeans coming over to race in supermodified? That Volvo was good fun last year
