HSCC - Derek Bell Trophy 2009 F5000&F2
I see the DB Trophy is now being focused on F5000 and F2 cars, with the possibility of allowing F.Atlantic to race.
Lets hope the grids live up to expectations and with a reduced number of events to keep costs down lets hope we get full grids for what could be an excellent championship. Anybody know what teams are looking to enter this ? |

Apart from Simon H team and that bloke with that needs a hair cut most of the cars are privateers. I would love to have a 5000 car .

http://www.hscc.org.uk/calendar.html I doubt that the DBT will run at Cadwell, Mallory, Combe or Spa though. |

Why not Spa?The race there this year was interesting and a distraction from the Tin Tops.

Crikee John are we to take that as a compliment. I think the HSCC were hoping for a bigger single seater grid . I guess there will allways be a bumper saloon grid as most of the cars can do two or more races. My good freinds from Historic FFord have not given up hope at the moment for next year. They are talking to Graham we have been invited by Dutch Mono to join them in May,but i am sure some of our guys would love race again at the 6 hour.

It's easier for us if the Races are incorporated in a programme that also include M R Legends and Carols series. It's cheaper to travel with several cars from various owners and only mobilise the troops once especially in Europe. Our only European race adventurers will be Dijon and Spa.

I think HSCC look to alternate the race between closed and open wheel. Sadly they will probably not let sportsracers in again.

If its a series, I'd take the Duratec out my car and stick a period Ford engine back in.
