West Surrey Racing GT project

In a Dutch autosport magazine there's an interview with Dick Bennett, founder and owner of West Surrey Racing. In the past they were very succesful in British F3 and the last few years they entered some MG's in BTCC. At the end he's asked about the future: "We want to continue with MG and are working on a FIA N-GT project."

Is this a GT project based on the XPower SV or a car from another manufacturer. Anyone more info?

Wout should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Probably it has something to do with Project-X?

WSR are not involved with this at all. From what I read over on DSC that the "Project X" team are going to run a SV in the in Cup Class in next years British GT Championship. Paul Kneeshaw, formally of Jedi Racing is behind the project.

It looks as if Anthony Reid is going to do a lot of the development work, but the project is not going to be works backed but they have donated the car.

Its the first I have heard about WSR and sportscars. Last I heard was they where still trying to put a deal together to run the works MG's in the BTCC again next (if that happens and they keep Ried, then they will win the championship).

WSR were planning to run a JGTC-spec. Honda NSX in the ill-fated Interactive Sportscar Championship, and I believe that Dick Bennetts has long-term ambitions in the discipline.
