Arrive and Drive options

Good evening all,

Hopefully this is the right location for this!

As the title says, arrive and drive racing...

Now not all of us can own, store, look after our own cars for various reasons so that leaves us only with arrive and drive options. I appreciate this will never be the most cost effective way to go racing but for some of us this is all we have.

I've recently been racing in the Funcup on and off for a couple of years with the arrive and drive package but I'm looking to expand horizons and try something else. A friend of mine who normally races Formula Ford in Australia is now over here and looking for the same. Not too fussy about what as long as it's in budget and looks good fun! Single seaters, sportscars, saloons, rallycross etc, it doesn't matter. We just want to know what's out there.

While trying* to find something I thought it might be an idea to list options here so that those like me can see what is out there.

So to get the ball rolling...

http://www.motorsportads.com/drives-...vers-rides.htm

http://www.funcup.co.uk/get-on-track...ive-and-drive/

http://www.sakercars.co.uk/get-on-tr...ive-and-drive/

http://www.britcar24hr.co.uk/home/ca...ves-available/

Please add more links or who to get in contact with in the appropriate series/club about possible options!

Any ideas too are welcome.

*as in no idea where to begin...

For a sprint race option look at Caterham R300, going to be very good grids next year and the cars are quick, fun to drive and very reliable with the new Sequential gearbox.

We have a new car for arrive and drive rental being delivered in January. Calendar is looking very good with 2 British GT support races at Silverstone GP and Brands GP and a European round at Zandvoort.

Contact me if interested

Have a look at

My website is currently being updated but should be up and running again tomorrow

Thanks for that, sounds like a good package with the support races. I will definitely consider it.

You're looking at around £500 plus entry fees etc for your basic drive - probably a lot more than that for something to put you up the sharp end.

AHS are probably the top people for it, but Bears Motorsport have some great cars, and there are a load of independants out there like Andy Storer.

Ask around on the Facebook groups, or if you can wait, turn up and wonder around the paddock for a chat. They're a very friendly bunch!

Or, for the price of a few races in most other series you can buy your own car and just jump in and go for it! Even if you take this option and aren't too great with the spanners yourself there are loads of people happy to look after the car for you.

If you fancy single seaters, then Classic FF1600 isn't a bad place to start and for mph / £ you can't get much better than Sports 2000.

www.sports2000-srcc.com and www.classicformulaford.com

We run cars in both (Classic Formula Ford Champion 2014, Sports 2000 Endurance Series winners 2012) www.gt-rt.com

An udder option is to modify your funcup!
I have made one with a Audi S4 V8 4.2L and Porsche suspensión and brakes.
It was cheap and it is FUN.

I have a spare Formula Ford 1600 which I planned on alternating between this year with my other car. I should really hire it out! PM is serious

MR2s in 750MC - Rogue Motorsport seem to provide half the field on 'arrive and drive' basis

Legends - Not sure I know specific teams.

my mate has a GAC Formula Vee for hire, a test would be a good option to try it. costs depending on which track. Mallory would be the cheapest.
