resir014 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hi! I'm new here!

Hi!

I got my way here when PawUloN posted a track design on another forum I joined, and it turned out that the design is from the My Tracks subsection here. When I came here to take a look, I was surprised when I saw the track designs there. You guys are great!

I'm 15 years old, from Indonesia and likes motorsports pretty much. I like designing tracks pretty much (I have loads of them on my HDD), but this is the first time I'm designing tracks using Google SketchUp, so I hope you guys here can help me.

See you there!

Looks positive, but extend the pit to after T2 (in a manner similar to the Interlagos exit), or change the direction, as you risk collisions in the middle of T2.

Yeah I saw that too, so I'm assuming it runs counter clock wise , then it makes sense, this track is pretty good for me, only minor tweaks would be making room for run-offs at certain spots, otherwise I wouldn't touch a thing the blot shape looks very buisness like and I see plenty of overtaking spots and different corner types, I'd say this kid is a genious.

Good work and welcome to the board!

Yep, it's clockwise. I'll fix that pitlane soon, thanks.

After several minutes of drawing, here's what I came up with.

I've shortened the pitlane exit, didn't waste up some pit space though (for perspective, the start/finish straight is around 800-900m long, track width is 17m)

Put the pitlane back to how it was and turn the circuit around ...sorted.

Darn :P I'll fix them up soon.

EDIT: Done. Reworked the original pitlane and turned everything counterclockwise.

Excellent job! I like the fact that you drew the pit lines out onto the road, I always like that! And a nice track it is too. Only advice I can give is to try and experiment with corner radius. Its very tempting to just use Sketchup's fixed arcs - to be fair I could do with trying this.

With pit-exits, I always put them on the inside of a corner, so on a clockwise circuit, my first corner almost always turns right. Of course it can make for a boring first turn, so don't take that as necessarily good advice!

Currently here is the final layout.

I'll try to do the 3D objects later (some objects as main grandstand and some parts of the pitwall is done, but still need some fixes), but I still need a bit of help for it.

EDIT: Or rather I won't post a 3D design of the surroundings and make just a good 2D graphic.
