Audi R8

I have been a little borad this morning at work so I have worked out how many races the Audi R8 between it hitting the tracks in 2000 and today. I have worked out that the car has won 47 of the 53 races it has entered, that works out at 89% of races won.

Below are a break down of the cars domination:-

The first figure is the number of starts, the second is the number of wins and the third is number of wins as a %

Le Mans - 5 - 4 - 80
ALMS - 40 - 36 - 90
ELMS - 4 - 3 - 75
LMES - 3 - 3 - 100
FIASCC - 1 - 1- 100
Total - 53 - 47 - 89

The only cars to beat the R8 are the Bentley, MG, Courage and Panoz, who did it 3 times.

Fantastic record really. And despite what some will say, the R8 has had some stiff competition at times. Especially in the earlier years. When you watch it in person you can really sense how well put together this car is. I thought the BMW LMR had beaten it, but I believe that actually was the '99 R8R.
