Another win for Timmy and just one point between the leaders before the last round.

With four event wins I daresay Timmy has earned the title but, despite what I have been told by various people, I am still struggling to warm to him. His whinge after winning Q3 sounded like a petulant child.

Bit belated, but I took a ton of pictures in France and various activities have prevented me from sorting through them sooner...

If a Hansen wins then I'd rather it was Timmy, he's easier to like than Bakkerud. I do find it quite wearing seeing Susann crying after ever event and stressing how they're a family team etc. Much as Doran is a knobend, I'd much rather see the Cartel do better.

Bonkers that we wait so long until the finale though. My mate is an occasional viewer (I convinced a group to do Riga last year and he enjoyed it enough to sometimes tune in), and he really couldn't understand the logic behind it.

I watched a hash of the Q runs on youtube.

Another track where there is so little dirt down, looked very much like France with sort of brushed concrete almost,

Wet weather made a bit of a difference, but no shock that this place is going, racing was pretty average, too narrow, too much stop start.

I quite like Riga as new tracks go. The first corner is usually entertaining, people can pull off good moves in T3 and the joker merge is neat. The two hairpins let it down but I still like to see it on the calendar, especially as it's well supported and a great event to go to.

Has Riga been dropped for 2020? First Iíve heard. I was there this weekend, and last year. Whilst I agree itís another track without Ďproperí loose, I think the layout itself works well and well and produces some overtaking. Much better than the likes of Silverstone.

The round is apparently dependent on state funding and until a budget goes through parliament they can't assure their stay on the calender.

I thought it was telling that with all that rain, there was no mud! I think it's painted tarmac. You saw clean puddles on the dirt section. Bizarre. At least Loheac actually gets muddy when wet.

I bet it's a fun and challenging circuit to drive and looks to get good crowds, but it's a pretty average one to watch.

Indeed, I was hoping for a bit of a mixed up race in the rain, but it was just like watching wet asphalt! Weird way to build a track, but i hope IMG are realising that these tracks are perhaps not that great for tv or fans, they do not encourage overtaking much, and are fairly tame coverage wise. ##But what can you do when governments are paying the bills!

I read a comment on another forum suggesting that there was some sort of post-race incident between Hansen and RX Cartel team members. I thought it was just internet gossip, but the clip at the end of the latest episode of Bakkerud Life...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CUd81d5KJ8
(at the 20:10 mark)

...seems to suggest there was at least some truth to the claim.

EDIT: I think that it was Ekstrom who was being addressed in that clip, I guess that is why he went to the stewards post-race.

That was great action at Latvia, helped by the wet weather. Now it's tight at the top, let's see what happens at SA

Where did you see comments elsewhere about a post race incident?

Itís one thing to have a verbal altercation but to get physical like that is totally not cool. It paints that team member and the team in a bad light. Itís pretty unprofessional. If you want to have a word so be it but to get physical is just not right.

Motorsport forum: I took the original comment with a pinch of salt as there was no evidence provided to support it, seeing the above clip makes me think that could be the incident that was being referenced.

Absolutely. Although I have struggled to warm to Timmy and Kevin I have always respected the team. I read some comments online from an associate of the Hansen team (earlier this year) that I thought were a bit unprofessional, but the conduct from the chap in that video is something else entirely.

Oh dear, to get that OTT, the two were nowhere near each other all race, there were no real incidents between them, so what is this guys problem?

This is not boxing for goodness sake.

At least he is clearly visible, has anyone thought to send this footage to Kenneth or even better the organisers? He really should not be attending meetings if this is the way he conducts himself. It embarrasses the team, and the sponsors and makes this man look a little sad quite honestly.

I could understand it if it was F1 or something... You know something big!!

I wonder if there's another side of it which relates to Ekstrom being called to the stewards? Or does it just relate back to the earlier incident (I can't actually remember how it happened that Timmy ended up in the wall, just that I thought it was an unfortunate racing incident). Either way, the reaction of the Hansen mechanic is completely lacking in class.

I've been really enjoying the recent Bakkerud Life episodes.

Cheers for that. From what Iíve read it looks like the Ďtwoí incidents are one and the same. Enjoying the Bakkerud vlog also as itís a great behind the scenes look at the weekend and Iím now quite a fan of him.
