V8 Fan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
BA gets Parity adjustment.

Here is a little story for you. It's only a story!!
Once upon a time there was a SINGLE Team called HRT. Owned by a Pom but run by Holden. Someone said "I want to build the best race team in Australia and build a massive fence around it." Then employ the most Boring, dull, whining N0.1. driver.(not Craig).
Have a lot of success due to no Parity.
Fast Forward to late 2002.
"Christ, there getting close-let's have 6 cars", you can't do that, that's against the rules, "when did that ever stop us".
Problem fixed come 1/6/03.
"**** , they are serious, they want us to win races on an equal footing"."BS, we can't do that".
"OK, this is what we will do. We'll pretend there is a lack of NEW engines and parts for the VY, but let the second tier Holden Teams bring theirs out 1st(no-one would possible question why HRT don't have the 1st ones) and they'll be reasonably competitive but won't have the 2 second advantage that what we will have. Then when we bring ours on line later, we'll just win by a small margin up until 2 rounds before Bathurst and then Blitz them!!! Parity wont even come into it". "Geez your good".
"Thanks".
"Can we ever win on the track".
"Don't be stupid-never since Craig left us".

Isn't that Ford's fault for doing a poor job with the AU?

Anyway, what did that post have to do with the BA getting parity adjustments?

Or rename yourself Aropax, like on conrod. Making up BS stories is stupid, why don't you live in the real world?

AU is leading the Konica series and winning races consistently. No parity adjustment required for Konica cars.

Why not re-name as "Tampax", and put a big one in...

the mouth to soak up all the dribble.

What does that tell you about the guys running AUs in the main game??????

Why are they given a better package because they cant get a handle on what they have already?

Anyone who thinks the AU is a dud, how short is your memory?

Sandown 2002 shows there isnt a great deal wrong with the potential of these cars.

The teams running AUs in the main game aren't testing much and are waiting for their BA build programs to be completed, rather than use up the test days on the obsolete model.

Just because they aren't testing as much though is no excuse to give them a parity concession.

Haha yeah RDMdog, you are so right... The AU won what, 1 or 2 rounds last year out of 13. can't be a dud. haha. Bad luck, or poor drivers in 1 or 2 cars can't account for those sorts of figures. Look how good the big drivers are doing in the BA's this year. They still aren't beating the VX's in the championship table too convincingly but if you watch the racing you can see that they have definitely been evened up.

I think we all know by now that there have been some pretty dodgy parity decisions made during the season 1998 thru 2002. I own two Commodores and have always loved the Aussie Touring Car comp. I won't call it outright "cheating" but surely some of you Red Commodore fans can see that there's been some queer decisions made since the V8 Supercar format has been around.

As a Kiwi, when the All Blacks were completely dominating world rugby, i could see it was'nt going to be healthy for the sport. Same goes for V8 Supercars. I hardly followed it last year.

Also, with Project Blueprint, they're getting so far away from what we see on the road...well, next thing you know we'll be seeing a NASCAR type comp where you can hardly tell the cars apart. Everything will be shared between cars except engines. We're almost there already. And check out the complete joke of the Monaro in the Procar Series.

A fine example of rule stretching, but quite a marketing coope for Ross Palmer.
