Loved it when Doug Mulray (?) was part of the commentry team.

"It's a brothel in there" when he was talking about the Daily Planet Teams pit.

I know he has done some work for support categories which is where I remember him last commentating. Havent watched support classes for a while so I'll have to keep an eye out.

I think another Daily Planet one from Doug Mulray was suggesting that the car crashing was a cock up. I want to put together a compilation video for youtube with all these quotes at some point and probably a separate one for Dick Johnson. Another one of my favourite quotes is:
What caused the fire Allan?
I think CAMS regulations would be a good starting point

Wasn't one along the lines of:

"The girls will be working overtime tonight to pay for that"

after a crash by the Daily Planet Commodore

The 'is it really 50th' discussion is now moved to it's own thread. How about we try to keep on topic for a change?

Dick certainly has been in the box for Touring Car Masters.

It seems to be the bigger events like Clipsal / Hamilton.

Always a welcome voice in the telecast, for mine.

Allan Moffat.

Something about the "sad part, watching the vulture carriers carrying the dead cars off the track. They should just leave them on the track"

Cant remember the exact quote

Classic quote I've been amused by this one from Bill Brown in a review of his 1971 Bathurst Rollover

"i smelt petrol and i asked if anyone was smoking would they kindly leave"

thanks JT, have been searching for that one for about a year.

Always found it amuising, watched it on TV at Oberon (about 50k from Bathurst) and we quoted it for a number of years

It's not a great quote, but how often will you hear a racing driver say "Geez, is that a tent?" during a mid-race interview...?
