Well, WTCC exists in "certain countries" like Russia, Argentina, China and the US too, so why it is a problem?

Yes, at least in Russia.

It looks fine to me... for the Dakar.

Yes, running it doesn't really make sense. That's why I think that the C4 Sedan is a more realistic choice. It will be a key model in Asia and South America.

About the race format, you know well that I think that a major championship like the WTCC should have one winner per weekend. I think there should be one or two 20min qualifying races and a 40-min main race.

On that note, I've just had a quick nosy around the Chinese, Russian, Japanese, Brazilian and Argentinian websites. Both the DS4 and C4 Sedan are both sold in all of these markets apart form china were they sell a long wheel base version of the C4 Sedan.

I'm going to take a guess and say its the DS4 they will use based on market reach as well as the "sportiness" of the sub-brand. Plus there was the DS4 Racing model.

Agree. Big enough for WTCC and promoting worth.

Meanwhile, some new details on WTCC 2014 (in Hungarian):
http://worldtouringcars.com/2013/06/...-uj-szabalyok/
-380bhp
-NO compensation weight
-possible changes to the reversed grid system
-60km races (which means that at most tracks distance will be increased by 1-2 additional laps (just what I personally wanted to see))
-push-to-pass from 2015 (have nothing against it if everyone will be in the same conditions not F1/DTM style DRS system)
And many more

60 km is not a big change. In track like Monza Macau and salzburgring the race is alelready that long. Personally I will be satisfied when they will decide to increase at 75/80 km

very much agreed!!
i would add a pit stop in the second race and with reversed grid there would be the chance to get the victory or the podium also for the drivers who start from the bottom just using a smart strategy!

Seems like Citroën want Robert Kubica in the car for a least one round.

i'd use the old pointsystem for race 1 (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) and the current pointsystem for race 2

Seriously, why do we even need points? Why can't championships be decided on the best average finishing position? (The smallest number wins).

I think that whoever has the best average finishing position, will have the most points

For the love of God I hope Citroën won't get Muller. That would already kill the entire championship for 2014, I was really looking forward to an inter-brand battle after all those years of Chevy domination.

i think Citroen Will have loeb and menu. Instead if rml should use the Renault they would conserve this team. A champion, a driver with sponsor and a young promise

A champion: Muller?
A driver with sponsor: Chilton?
A young promise: Oriola?

If Renault will use RML they won't need AON I think. They'll want to retain Muller (wise), if they're smart they keep Oriola (guess they won't) but I'm pretty sure Chilton would get the boot for another Frenchman.

I'd love to see Alain Menu get another shot to go head to head with Muller in equal machinery, he was robbed of the title last season.

I hope if he doesn't get brought on at Citroen, that he returns to Renault/RML.

No one mentioning Rob Huff's name for the 2014 rumours. A shame.

But I do not want to bring that up again....
