Drink 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship

Welcome to the 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship, now in its 16th season on www.tentenths.com

Named in the memory of long time custodian of the Supercars Fantasy Championship, the late Antrodemus , the 2018 game will see entrants line up to compete for the coveted Pete55 Memorial Trophy. Both men regularly thought of kindly, both men regularly missed.

The object of this competition, to win the 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship, is to accumulate the most points possible for the least dollars spent.

Points are the same as the actual drivers in the Virgin Australia Supercar Championship series. So what goes on at the race track shows up in your point score.

Stay within your salary cap to select your choice of the ultimate team of drivers in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, and score points based on the actual, real results of the drivers you choose throughout the year.

1. Salary Cap
Like all great sports fan competitions, the 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship has a Driver Salary Cap, a cap designed to make sure the richest entrants aren't able to simply buy their success by picking all the favourites for their entry.

Under this 2018 ASFC Salary Cap, you the entrant can hire up to 3 drivers from the regular season Drivers List for your team.

The choices can be from the same team, different teams or a combination of both.

You the entrant don’t have to use all of the 2018 ASFC Salary Cap, but please DO NOT GO OVER THIS CAP as your changed entry will not be recognised for that round.

The Salary Cap for 2018 is $2,000,000.

It has been $2,000,000 for a few years now, and we have made sure that your favourite drivers are still affordable.

2. Drivers List
Below is the 2018 ASFC Drivers Price List of pilots nominated to race at the Adelaide Parklands 500, and their accompanying prices, for the regular season.

The driver valuations this year are based on a combination of 2017 VASC driver championship points, changes in preparation teams & car brands & car source, input from Ladbrokes betting markets, a level of evaluation based on prior performance & potential, and an Excel spreadsheet to harmonise the cost per point from 2017 results.

You can pick the pilot(s) you like, the one(s) in form, the one(s) who will keep scoring points even though they aren't driving a front running entry.

Or any combination of these, always within the Salary Cap of course.

And to the list...

2018 ASFC Drivers Price List:
$1,200,000
Scott McLaughlin
Jamie Whincup
$1,100,000
Fabian Coulthard
Chaz Mostert
Shane van Gisbergen
$1,000,000
David Reynolds
Mark Winterbottom
$900,000
Craig Lowndes
Garth Tander
$800,000
Michael Caruso
Rick Kelly
Nick Percat
Scott Pye
Tim Slade
Cameron Waters
$700,000
James Courtney
Will Davison
Lee Holdsworth
$600,000
Tim Blanchard
Simona De Silvestro
Andre Heimgartner
Richie Stanaway
$400,000
Anton de Pasquale
James Golding
Todd Hazelwood
Jack Le Brocq (TBC)

The driver selection in the regular season is for the whole of a race weekend, regardless of the number of Virgin Australia Supercars Championship races held.

Driver Swaps
If an entrant has a driver that he/she chose for their 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship team replaced for the regular season for any reason, the entrant shall automatically have the replacement driver in their team instead of the original nominated driver.

If a driver in the above list is replaced for any reason by his/her team for the regular season, the replacement driver shall be valued as the original nominated driver.

Wildcards
It is expected that the 888-run ZB Commodore V6tt shall appear at a number of rounds in 2018, with the option open for eligible Dunlop Super2 entrants to join them.

Where there is a wildcard entrant for a regular season round, the driver of that entry shall be priced at $300,000.

On conclusion of the wildcard's participation in the regular season, you as the entrant shall automatically revert to your nominated regular driver line up.

3. Pirtek Enduro Cup
The Pirtek Enduro Cup is a three round, two-driver series at Sandown, Bathurst and Gold Coast.

During the Pirtek Enduro Cup, the entrant can choose to continue with their nominated regular season driver line up, or choose to change it (see Hiring & Firing below) to include the enduro season specialists that also participate in these 3 rounds.

Your driver lineup must still fit within the $2,000,000 2018 ASFC Salary Cap, and you will be allowed an extra pilot, so you as the entrant can have a maximum of 4 drivers at these three rounds.

You as the entrant shall automatically revert to your nominated regular driver line up after Gold Coast, should you choose this option.

The price list for the enduro specialists will be confirmed prior to the Sandown round, once it becomes clear who is entered.

Wildcards
It is expected that the 888-run ZB Commodore V6tt shall appear at Bathurst 2018, with the option open for eligible Dunlop Super2 entrants to join them.

Where there is a wildcard entrant for a Pirtek Enduro Cup round, each driver of that entry shall be priced at $300,000.

On conclusion of the wildcard's participation in the enduro season, you as the entrant shall automatically revert to your nominated regular driver line up.

4. Hiring & Firing
As the entrant, you are permitted to change any or all of your drivers in the lead-up to any round of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, as long as you don’t exceed the 2018 ASFC Salary Cap, or exceed the number of drivers allowed.

You might choose to change your driver line up sometime during the year because of poor results. You might think a particular driver will be outstanding at a particular race track, and a change in driver line up for that round could be smart thinking. You might find that you the entrant have a similar driver line up in your squad to someone else and the only way to finish ahead of them on the point score is to change your driver line up.

Cost Of Change
There is a cost to your 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship points haul to change your driver line up.

We have made it easier for the scorekeeper (me) this year.

Every time you change your permanent driver line up (changing 1, 2 or even 3 pilots), it will cost you the entrant 50 points in total

Note that for the Pirtek Enduro Cup, the change to your driver line up should you choose to do so for those 3 events will cost 0 points, however the driver line up will revert to the pre Enduro Cup driver line up at the end of the Season of Endurance.

How To Change Your Driver Line Up
To change your line up, see Team Announcements to announce your new team.

The deadline for making changes is the start of first practice.

Where the changed line up exceeds the Salary Cap or driver number limit, this will be communicated in this thread, for the entrant to correct for resubmission before the deadline. If the resubmission is not completed by the deadline, the previously nominated driver selection shall automatically stand.

5. Points:
The points accumulated in the 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship are exactly the same as accumulated in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship!

Whatever a driver scores at a round is exactly what that driver will receive here.

Driver points penalties will also be included in the drivers points in this championship.

Round results and 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship standings will be posted here following the conclusion of each round. After the results have been posted, you can choose to report on your team’s performance (or lack thereof). Show us how good you are at creating & distributing marketing communications

If things don't seem to add up, feel free to point out the area of concern (nicely and to the point) in this thread.

6. Team Announcements:
Once you have picked your driving line-up, give your team a name, announce some sponsors, racing numbers, draw & share some liveries, find some grid girls/guys, mascots, overseas technical partners, your manufacturer of choice, then post here giving a detailed description of the copious quantities of hide your team will kick in the forthcoming season.

To make it easy for the busy scorekeeper (me), could you please condense the marketing communications into this form following your press release... for example...

Quote:
NAME: Mobil Holden Dealer Team
SPONSORS: Mobil, Holden, Bridgestone, TAA, Holden Quality Parts, FoxFM, Philips, Crane Cams
DRIVERS:
#05 Scott McLaughlin ($1,200k)
#25 Anton de Pasquale ($400k)
#55 James Golding ($400k)..... (Totalling $2,000k)
MANUFACTURER: 888 Holden Commodore ZB V8
Please use this format when making changes to your driving line up, to make sure the Salary Cap and driver number limits are not exceeded.

.................................................................................................... ...................................................
Entries are open as of now, so start issuing those press releases, and get drawing!
Your team can be altered without penalty until first practice at Adelaide.
Comments/suggestions/queries/bribes(?) are more than welcome, either here or via PM.
Time to nominate your team ladies and gentlemen, encourage your friends to join in... lets see if we can get 50+ entrants this year!

Bank Of Sydney Racing Owns Supercar in 2018

GTRMagic is proud to announce a brand new sponsor for his multi car entry in the 2018 Antrodemus Supercars Fantasy Championship.

Fresh off a disappointing 26th placing in the 2017 ASFC , the excellent 3rd place in the 2016 ASFC seems almost a lifetime ago.

In the off season, GTRMagic has created & effected a detailed 500 point plan to propel the momentum of the team line up, investment in its personnel, investment in its hardware, investment in its driving force to lift the team performance to previously known amazing heights.

All the chassis from previous seasons have been sold off in a fire sale to Super2 teams to clear the workshop of the bad juju.

4 brand new chassis have been created by Uncle Fred's mobile welding and cow branding, and fitted with the very latest design components from LDM.

The 2018 powerplants are full house Ford V8s, specially built by John and Jack's Tractor Spares, Motor Wrecking and Taxi Service in Mordialloc.

Running three cars this season with a REC secured from JoBri, we welcome Mr Jamie Whincup, Mr Todd Hazelwood and Mr Anton de Pasquale to the line up.

We have also cleared out our Corporate Hospitality facilities and hangers on as well.
No corporate guests in 2018. No parties. No palm trees. Nothing. No money for that. Ain't got time for that.

Team: Umai Naa Holdings Pty Ltd T/A D-Sport
Sponsors: Casio, BIC, Nescafe, DELL

Driver 1: Jamie Whincup #1
Driver 2: Tim Slade #89
Vehicle: Holden Commodore

What started out as an off-the-cuff remark over lunch with his accountant about reducing tax debt, Mr Naa's plans to form a team in the ASFC came to fruition, with the purchase of a pair of re-skinned Walkinshaw-built Commodores at a suspiciously low price. With a solid driver line-up that almost included Renee Gracie, an audacious move that was thwarted by not being able to find an engineer proficient in emoji-speak at such short notice, the team is confident of a modest debut season.

D-Sport has yet to finalise its Pirtek Enduro Cup driver line-up, but it is understood that Michael Patrizzi has put himself in the frame for one of the seats. Mr Naa declined to comment on the matter, and Speedcafe has rejected Mr Patrizzi's calls.

twinwebbers should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Zoom Motorsport finished just outside the top 5 in 2017. Close but no cigar.

"It's our year this year, someone here has lost some weight (I think it was the receptionist but still) and despite the fact we're running Volvos, we've got a new Focus. {Bom Tsh} Our commitment is second to everyone." said team manager, El Guapo.

He also mentioned our new range of merchandise which apparently includes sweaters this year for the first time.

Two of our drivers had nothing to say at the launch, they just pulled their flat caps lower and grunted angrily about being made to wear a sweater. Tim however sat quietly in the corner mumbling about never making an impact. We assured him that we're all winners in this team even mid-pack journey men like himself. To back up our statement team manager El Guapo said he was glad Tim was still here.

Gaz170 has decided to throw his hat in the ring again with Queensland Rail Fail Racing. After signing a contract to have 3 state of the art Falcons manufactured in India, what arrived more resembled Hindustans with roll cages. The teams 888 built Falcons from last year have had to be pressed back in to service, along with an ex DJRTP Falcon.

Three new divers have been recruited, and we are confident of greater success this year given our unlimited finances courtesy of the Queensland Government Department of Transport.

Brendon Engineering bring in the big guns!
Brendon Engineering is excited to announce the signing of one of Australia's biggest names and fan favourite in Craig Lowndes to spearhead the teams attack on the 2018 championship in on of their brand new Holden ZB Commodores. "Craig is a legend of the sport and one of the best touring car driver's this country has produced, he is someone I grew up idolising so to have him drive one of my cars is a dream come true." team owner Brendon said of the signing of Lowndes.

The star signings don't stop there for the team with Kiwi international GT driver Richie Stanaway joining the team. "I don't need to say much about Richie his GT results on the world stage and efforts in the enduro's the last couple years speak for themselves". Brendon added on Stanaways signing.

The team have also decided to blood rookie Jack LeBroq in it's third entry. "Jack while still young has been around a while and done a solid apprenticeship and is more then ready for the main game. like my old mate down the pitlane Garry Rogers I like to give the young guys a go." said Brendon.

The team would also like to welcome sponsors Penrite Oils, Jack Daniel's, Amour All & Kenworth Trucks. "We run Penrite in our cars, we drink JD's, wash the cars & truck with Amour All and lug it all around with our Kenworth primemover, I'm a tight arse so i'll happily chug your logo on my cars if you give me free product" laughed Brendon.

Forging into their 2nd year of the Championship, Muznik Racing has seen a shake up of drivers & strategy. This involves not putting all their eggs in one basket with regards to a manufacturer.
