My first evidence, I'll submit the Honda Integra/Acura RSX which Team Dyanamics built (off of Arena Civic hidden bits IIRC)..even though never sold officially.

Since then with the new 2011 rules, Rules may have changed though saying it has to be available in certain markets.
Yes that rule was introduced after 2006, much to Steve Neal's annoyance.

I wasn't sure about that one - he was supposed to have the car at Autosport "subject to finalising sponsorship", and it wasn't there. Just enough to sow a seed of doubt...

How do you know he hasn't registered yet?
Have you seen the registration forms that TOCA have received from teams? No.
Nobody knows who has registered until the entry list is published by them.

Hi

Just thought we would keep you guys up to date on our plans.

We had a visit from Peter Riches from TOCA today and ran through our BTCC VW Golf.

Peter completed his visual inspection of the car and confirmed that we are eligible for BTCC and we look forward to the start of the season.

Here is a shot from our race area today with Peter Riches, Chris Tweed (AmD Millteksport Team Manager) and me (The tall one!).

As you can see we have started the areas that need rebuilding and the new aero package starts development next week and will take 2/3 weeks.

We will have a "BTCC Blog" on our website, www.amdessex.com, in the next few days alongside our "Workshop Blog".

Cheers Shaun.

P.S. Just looked out of my office and now the engine and gearbox are out!

Looking great Shaun!

BTCC confirmation I bet.

Can't see if this has been mentioned yet (apologies if it has), are you planning on fielding two cars, or just the one? Or not sure yet lol

Thanks

Not suprisingly IF Motorsport's plan to enter the BTCC with the Abarth has been shot down by Gow:

Meanwhile, there was a headline on daily sports car recently "Chad Racing to pro'ceeding into 2010-a three strong KIA BTCS entry" does this mean Kias in the BTCC? I'm not a subscriber of the site so couldn't read what it said, but if anyone is, can you tell us what the article says?

BTCS is the Belgium touring car series, cars are nothing like BTCC.

It's unfortunate, because Chad Racing are a British team, and are obviously well staffed with good guys who know what they're doing.

How much modding would it take to get their Kias to BTCC spec, does anyone know?

The Kia's use the chassis of the old Megane Trophy car.

Actually they are based on Chad's Peugeot 406/7s from the old French Supertourisme... someone from the team posted that info on here last year.
