Interesting observation.

They had far more success in the past, so it's an understandable path to draw inspiration from.

Another question might be if they changed makes, and were winning in that new incarnation, would they even consider acknowledging past liveries?

Itís retro round, what else do you expect a team that was the Holden Racing Team to use as a retro livery if not an HRT one? Genuinely curious or are you just trying to stir things up out of nothing?

Why is the #18 crooked?

I think the car overall looks cool, but the alignment and placement of the branding seems like a rush job.

I know it's italicised.

It's crooked in relation to everything else; other branding, style lines in the bodywork, etc.
