It sure is a cracker of a book. I'm reading mine V - E - R - Y S - L - O - W - L - Y so as to prolong the enjoyment (and not because I can't read quickly, or without moving my lips, before anyone suggests this!)

Lovely memory jerker. WRA mentioned, one of my very first engines was built by dear George Whitehead at WRA, and no mean Anglia driver either.
Pity that there are not more books like the one produced by the lads. As you rightly say, takes you back to those glorious days of build a saloon car to go as fast it bloodywell can, out and out racing! Gerry Marshall, a hero of mine. They only built one didn't they. |

I'm 51 today and my wife has bought me this wonderful book as a present. I've not had much chance to read it yet but the photos have already brought back so many great memories of Gerry. They really were great days and Gerry was a star.

OT.
Gregor I have several Vauxhall Motorist mags from the 70s in which your dad features. You may already have copies of these, if not, and you want to save them from the bin let me know. |
