'Drivers who are accepted into the Championship after Friday, March 8th, 2019, will be classified as Late Registrations and may incur a 20% entry fee surcharge at the Administrator’s discretion. Any subsequent change to an Entrant's registered car, or driver, during the course of the Championship is by application to and approval of the Administrator.' So it's a Late Registration at least, but may be permitted by Gow as a non-change for TBL purposes. As it was after 8th March, then Goff might also be carrying 45kgs at R1.... |

You may be out of luck with that one. On Sunday the place looked to have been stripped out completely. |

Pleased to have Jack back on the grid but he deserves better than to be running around at the back in that VW junker. Who is sponsoring Jack now that couldnt come up with the money when he was looking seriously?
I hope Team Hard have actually put a bit more effort in to preparation than they normally do. i am thinking Team Hard will now finish the season with a completely different line up to they start with |

I suspect he will be let off the late entry ballast. Everything in TOCA's rule book is subject to digression. The rules is still there as a throwback to when teams would bring in a ringer at the end of the season. I don't recall Mat Jackson having to carry late enter ballast a few years ago when he wasn't signed until the morning of Media Day.

So big shame for Bushell, but at least he’s being replaced by a talented race winner. Miracles do happen, so welcome back Goff

I don't get it. 1 driver had the required budget, the other didn't, now all of a sudden it's the other way around. I'm a massive fan of Goff but surely it would have made far more sense for Tony to have extracted a bit more cash from his team's sponsors for Bushell.

I hear one of Bushells backers backed out leaving him high and dry.
Goff had the folding: remember Tony had all his seats filled very early on and he charges peanuts compared with most other teams, hence Goff being able to fund the seat. |

I don't want to be rude or anything, but let's think this way:
Bushell probably had more budget than Goff, or the team raised partially the budged for him. As soon as they found out, that Goff might be interested in joining, the negotiations began. At this point everyone knows in which direction I'm going with the idea. Only shame is that not Boardley or Crees was replaced. We can like them, but we all know both will be complete backmarkers. But as money talks... I'm still hoping for a wise made contract, as at Team HARD things can change at every minute, so Bushell can return if somebody leaves mid season. Only if he is not certain now to do a full Clio season as things went this way round. Anyway, happy about Goff returning. This is the situation for which we have a perfect expression in Hungarian. Translated would come: One of my eyes is crying, the other one smiling. |

Goff back in BTCC in HARD - yes, please.
Bushell out of HARD and BTCC - no, thanks. |

A 2nd overall in the Ginetta's last year is better than Ollie Jackson, Will Burns and Hunter Abbott had done in their years in the championship - certainly not a direct comparison between them but that seems to show he's a good enough driver. Feel bad for poor Crees though - he seems like such a lovely guy and from what I've seen he's so passionate about the BTCC, but unfortunately I think he'll be really out of his depth. Hope to be proved wrong! On the brighter side, HARD have the potential to be in the mix with Goff and Thompson, and I think they must've tested more than any other team this winter so hopefully the cars have been improved! |

More likely is that Bushell genuinely has a lack of budget and had to stand down. Hard were left with a choice of either losing a TBL or take a punt on someone else with a partial budget. As mentioned earlier, Goff probably doesn't have the budget for a full season but he is a decent driver with a good chance of some decent results. The team will be hoping they can pick up more sponsors later in the year on the strength of that. If not, then expect someone else to be bought in mid-season. |

BMW liveries a bit of a mess...
Also intresting to note the lack of front wing intake(?) on the 3 series. |

Basically the same as last year. Note the lack of Kwik-Fit logos on the number plate, for those that seem shocked about that sort of thing |

Personally do not like that 3 series at all thought it would look a lot meaner than it does, bit of a disappointment. Also looks way better in Pirtek livery than BMW livery just like the 1 series did.

There's a significant investment from BMW here, three new cars based on latest models and three talented drivers. What's not to like?
As soon as it wins, you'll like the looks. |

Not a bad look on the new BMW, although to me it looks like the old car shape, just a bit longer

Well personally I haven't liked the appearance of any BMW of the last 20 years. However, that's not relevant as BTCC isn't the motor car equivalent of Miss World. For the record I think the Corolla is ugly too, but the race car manages to improve on the awkward over-styled roadcar.
I'm sure with WSRs experience, designers, engineers and drivers they'll be competitive sooner rather than later and that is what's relevant. |

Sadly I think most BMWs in general look quite boat-ish now, they are all so big, but that’s how road cars have gone, everything has to get “bigger” (for some reason). The new 2019 VW Polo is almost as big as the first generation Golf.
Having said that, I don't think the NGTC 3 series looks as bad as I feared, however I think its a shame the 2 series wasn't eligible as thats the perfect size for a touring car. |
