I used Steve many years back to map the DTA brain in the Nova, and they were very amazed at the amount of power that it made, plus the amount of advance that it tolerated!! It did take some time, but he went through the installation with a fine toothed comb to make sure it was right before he started. The Micro Dynamics throttle bodies on my engine are utter rubbish, and the linkage between each body isn't very nice at all, coupled with the air leaks around the spindles. The final map was superb though. Well worth it.

I agree that the unit they're in doesn't look very appealing, but the man know his onions!

i've no doubt that steve greenald is quite capable of doing a good job, im afraid two words come to mind with regards his college, and thats "banger racer" i've never seen anyone be so brutal with cars on the rollers

we once stuck my car on there rollers for a power run, before it was run they were very very negative saying it would never make the sort of power figs i claimed, saying i'd be lucky to see 300bhp, depite the tyres spinning on the rollers it still recorded 420bhp, at which point the response was a very subdewed " aint anything wrong with that!

Chill Graham, you've had one bad experience at T & R, but I've had about a dozen really good experiences there and they're the only RR that I recommend. Don't keep slagging them off.

The Single Roller produces fantastically accurate figures, and both Steve's know their stuff, they work together on the mapping almost telepathically. I only have my car's run and mapped here.

I know their laid back attitude can rub people up the wrong way, and I've experienced delays too, but I know they do a superb job and it takes a bit longer to do something properly.

I arranged a shootout there earlier this month and it went without any hitch whatsoever, we ran 17 cars and their attention to detail was awesome, every car was calibrated to the RR and everyone left with valueable information.

Thanks for the advise but if you run a bussiness then customers are important, it seamed like a big joke for them, the car was crap, engine builder was a idiot, we were just there for there amusement and the amusement of there friends who passed by very unprofessional. Ok he is good at mapping but so are a lot of people and they give a propper service and see you as a paying customers who has a voice.

I've only known Steve Greenald for a few years ..... ok maybe quite a few, and hes always bent over backwards to help people, including giving me the Bradbury Ramp he took out of the Lotus Servicenter when closed the servicing side of his business.

As For the 'other steve' ... yes hes very short in his words, he wont flower up an explaination to make the words ' its crap' sound good.. he just says ' its crap' .

He takes things on face value, if it looks wrong, its wrong till it proves him wrong, and i've heard him say to customer's something like this
" well %$£$ me that go some £$"^ing grunt for a pile of $%£^ .. well done, now go and tidy it up"

The client list ranges from ' banger boys' whose love and attention to their engines surpasses a lot of circuit racers... to OE manufactures and top level race teams.

Theres also nothing wrong, as Graham said, with Oscar down at DTW, or Wobbly Walker at Emerald, who i also recomend.
