Speed bumps at thruxton

I read with total dismay that Dingle Dell is no more (thanks for pic pixie). How much more are circuits going to get every challenge removed ? Mallory getting chicane on back straight.....chicane in Oulton i cannot remember name of but hate, modifications to castle coombe which i have not driven but remember how scary it was before. To me the whole challenge of driving is to negotiate scary corners quickly and safely and enjoy the thrill of it, thats what motor racing is about. Is the next thing speed humps at Church on Thruxton ??????????

Sorry never want to see anyone hurt or killed but it is dangerous what we do...........we are driving by choice.

The Knickerbrook modifications?

If it is, I'm all for them. Will Hoy once described the chicane as "The gave a drunkard a tarmac laying machine" - and you'd be right to hate it.
The modifications, from the plans I've seen, look much better - faster, more flowing, and less likely to send to tyres flying everywhere!

I have to say although I'm too young to have driven combe pre bobbies - and the other one (what IS it called?) the chicanes do flow well.

Some people cannot have been around racing very long...

I can recall almost the same words being written when they put in that stupid chicane at Dingle Dell.

DSM should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
IMO DD will be all the better for the change, if it's what I believe it to be.
Also, it's not certain that the new layout at Mallory is to be used for cars. The old circuit will still be there. All that is certain at this time is that bikes will use the new layout.
