Top 10 Drivers.

No supprise to see Brock, Skaife, Lowndes, up there, but to rate
dirty marcos ahead of Whincup. WTF Lets see, he has 2 C'ships and no Bathursts against Whincups record.

BlueMax should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I would have preferred it to be based on just driving ability only.

Never going to please everyone with such a list. I think they have it as right as possible. Maybe the top 10 (or 5?) shouldn't have been ranked and just announced in random order?

Glenn Seton has better results then Ambrose

For me it's Ambrose alongside Pete Geoghan for No.1.

Brock was a good driver but nowhere near as good as his record suggests.

What on earth are you smoking bluesport.Hand it around because it must be good gear.Made you dillsuional.3 championships,9 Bathurst wins including twice 3 years in a row,Repco Rally win,9 Sandown wins including 7 in a row,1974 Australian Formula 2 champion and 1996 Super Touring champion.
And look at cheat Ambroses achievement.2 v8supercar crowns, other than that a blank sheet of paper.Well I suppose when you look at his success rate in NASCAR (Now Americans See Cheat Ambrose Race).

It is blokes like you samoaair707 who give out false stats to make Brock better than what he was. He never won the 1974 ANF2 championship, and he never won the 1996 Super Touring Championship.

Brock was a great driver, one of the best that Australia has ever produced. No doubt about that top 5%. But his PR team was even better.

Lol........yes, that one always gets a bite from those on the red side.

My reasoning is that Brock got a lot of his victories while driving for the factory team against privateer opposition after Ford withdrew it's support in the 70's. How many championships did he win when he left the HDT? How many did he win driving the BMW M3? How many did he win driving the Mobil Sierra? How many Bathursts did he win in the M3 and Sierra?

There are those of us who would say that Lowndes, Ambrose and Winchup have never raced in a Touring car series.

Suprising to see 'Pete' so low

Generally speaking though top drivers in the top 10 are probably right, just the order seems abit...random?

I reckon based on that list, if Whincup wins this year it moves him up to no 8

Any list is guaranteed to get discussion/argument about it's content. An "expert panel of eight" apparently worked this one out. Brock was always going to get the #1 spot, and no one could seriously argue with that. There were a couple of odd calls in there, but these things are selective. Similar lists have been done here and elsewhere in the past and always generate plenty of vigorous debate. I wonder who the expert panel of eight were ?
