Polish racer Alex Bosak has joined Arden. He has three seasons in Formula Renault Alps under his belt - the first two he failed to score points and last season he finished 11th overall...

Bosak also took part in the end of season tests at Motorland with AVF and didn't impress... Quite the opposite.

Campos have signed two drivers today:
http://www.gp3series.com/News/2015/F...Series-season/ Palou is a good signing, not heard of Ashkanani to be honest. Edit - I'd not heard of Ashkanani because he was in Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East last year. He was champion, though not quite sure on the depth of talent in that series. Anyway, GP3 will be a whole different kettle of fish. Good luck to him, I suspect he may need it. Last edited by Hawkwood; 12 Feb 2015 at 17:21. Reason: Extra info. |

Ashkanani is far from promising. I recall he had a British Formula Ford outing a couple of years back and in a not-that-brilliant field was anonymous.

I felt it coming... seems like Ocon will be joining the GP3 field this year.
Italia racing reports a deal coming with ART GP, and at the same time a change in his management, switching from Gravity/Genii to Todt junior program! That would be huge, it would mean that after being a Lotus Junior, and almost being a Mercedes one he'll finally be in view for any F1 Team wanting him. And that could be a strong title contender ;-) http://italiaracing.net/newsint.aspx?id=50923&cat=55 |

I get the feeling, that Mercedes will get him at the end.
It is in best interests of All Road if it happens. As he is the only F1 junior free agent with a great pedigree as Stoneman is with Red Bull, Lynn Williams etc... |

He's better off with Todt than with Lotus/Gravity, which looks more like a short-term business than a driver program.
He was lucky enough to get some outings in the F1, but most of the promising drivers they have (or they've had) weren't that lucky and stayed at home while drivers already out of the F1 scope, like Prost or D'Ambrosio took the seat. |

Nicolas Todt denied the fact that Ocon would join All Road Management.
Saying that the rumour is "incorrect". |

The guy's too good to be doing this series! The only benefit is it keeps him in the eyes of F1 people
Change of management or not , it's career stagnation from a driving point of view. |

I think we have to be faire with Gravity's junior management.
Gravity's system always has been financially independent from Lotus F1 Team, and the concept is "let's find individual sponsorship for every junior" that's why they try to have a mix between talents and kids coming from emerging markets (Albon for instance). The others all bring money... Ocon is a special case as soon as he didn't have any budget since Karting and since Gravity took 100% of his seasons since this age. Now Ocon has arrived to a step in his career where he needs "bigger" budget, and since Gravity doesn't have a sponsor for him, they might struggle to pay for this.. I also understand they don't want to put in danger financially the complete junior system for one kid. That's why they tried to sell him this winter. Considering this, GP3 might be a good alternative. Racing on F1 week-ends. Reasonable budgets. Good seat at ART (I think I remember ART racing Gravity kids like Sims if I'm right). And moreover, some others have shown that you can step-up from GP3 to F1 (Bottas, Kvyat). As soon as they cannot pay a GP2 drive and find a "winning" WSR seat, This solution make sense finally! But time we'll tell us if I'm thinking in the good way or not. |

It is not a matter of being fair.
The question is why they waited until christmas thinking oh well we will bring Ocon in GP2 at Dams and giving him a reserve ride at Lotus and then withdraw everything. They should've known what was going on. Let's be logic there, i'm sure they knew since the beggining that there was no way to get to Gp2 on their own. They just tried to surf on Verstappen's hype hoping to raise some bit of money but they poorly handed the situation. They should've accepted DTM seat that Wolff offered back in August with very good money and then try to do a Vietoris or go to GP3 straight away. The silence of Gravity is quite telling, Autosport French version is saying that a scandal is looming. French speaking F1 websites starts to question Gravity behaviour. |

It's always easy to say "they should have done this.." when we are out of the decision circle.
If they tried to raise money to put him in Dams GP2 seat, of if they were close to, at least they tried... Again the press or criticizing persons are short of memory forgetting Gravity has paid 100% of Ocon career since then! And if they continue to do it in GP3, I think Esteban should be happy with it... never forget where you come from. Accepting Wolf offer at a low price would have been a "bad" deal for Gravity (return on investment) and for Ocon (Vietoris career isn't that exciting is it?)... and moreover you already have Werhlein in line for F1, except Di Resta nobody did a decent jump from DTM to F1, so I can understand they're decision to say no. What I mean is Gravity is trying to do the best for Ocon, and at least they do something and try... we shouldn't be to hard with that. If you compare with Verstappen (in all respect with his incredible talent), his father did 100% of the investment (Karting seasons, training in single seater, F3..) and RedBull is going to take the return on it. That's not my view of a junior driver system. |

I think GP3 is the perfect step for Ocon this season.
He gets to stay in the spotlight and has a very good chance of winning the title. Most recent GP3 winners have had a pretty good record at making it to F1 (Gutierrez, Bottas, Kyvat, Lynn is williams reserve). Not to mention the fact that the GP2 grid is very strong this season and Ocon would probably have only managed 3rd at best, bar a huge step up in performance. Next season it may well be weaker with Vandoorne, Marciello, Lynn potentially moving on to F1 seats. |

The main problem moving into GP2 is tyre management... GP2 rookies don't have that much time to practice on tyre degradation management (race) and soft tyre extra momentum (quali), that's why generally rookies struggle at least half a season in GP2 (see Marciello & Vandoorne). In that way GP3 is an interesting step, either to jump to GP2 or F1 afterwords. |

Surely Jorda will be busy with her new Lotus gig to stay in GP3. Wrong team for Parry and I don't see Morris...

I think Morris sees Morris in GP3 though...
...at least all I've heard of him is that he wants to go to GP3. |
