James Hunt 1976 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Arp F3

I read with interest Ryan Lewis is not happy about the level of competition in the scholorship class in British F3. How about he entered an ARP race and take on James Winslow. Now that would be a good race!

Alternatively, how about merging BF3 & ARP into one series with 3 or 4 age related classes, at least there might be full grids!!!!!!???? I'll get my flack jacket and kevlar helmet.

Wasn't Ryan Lewis the chap who made a meal of winning the FPA championship ?

Hopefully James Winslow and Reon Motorsport can compete in a few BF3 Class B races this year and show the rest up anyway!

Hmmm I think you can get the point I'm digging at

Made meal of winning clubby championship with rich business men (and some talnet) playing at racing drivers

Complains F1 stepping stone is too easy.....

I recently meet R Lewis and thought him to be a right prat! As far as I can see he has no results worth boasting about. FPA is summed up by darcym and as far as I can see scholarship F3 is VERY poor this year. Im sure he would struggle to win ARP despite all his money. Would win the bull**** prize though.

Or, the ARP cars could all be converted to Mono 2000 spec - driver per driver, I would expect lap times to be very similar but the running costs of a Mono spec car would be far lower.

At Coombe last September Ryan's fastest FPA lap was around a tenth off of the fastest ARP F3 lap - An F3 should be way quicker than an FPA car (Ryan at Snett F3 this year - ~5 seconds better than his fastest FPA time last year)- (all from mst-group.co.uk) - Ryan is a quick driver who is doing OK - Shouldn't we be encouraging homegrown talent?

And check out the times from Oulton :-)

Ryan's done a bloody good job in qualifying today - albeit capitalising on the weather conditions.

To be fair, Ryan can only beat what's out there to beat and to date his points total in the scholarship suggests he's the best out there by a long shot.

True, No 4, but that says more about the opposition than him.

I'd be very interested to see how he'll go if he's in the top class next season.

At the beginning of the season everyone was saying jelley was the guy to beat - what has happened there?

ryan has qualified the scholarship car in the top ten quite a few times, look at oulton park recently - what does that say?

Seems like many people are scared to accept that there are new drivers around now in F3 that can/will get results, and go onto bigger and better things.

If ryan raced in the championship class i am sure he would be right up there.

I don't think he'd be RIGHT up there, Oulton qualifying was half-wet/half-dry anyway, you're bound to get a few surprises. I don't think he'd have done so well if Kane, Chandok and Viso had still been there.
