V - are you saying that an ordinary man should turn up despite the fact that Eddie didn't turn up, or the fact that Eddie didn't turn up means that the ordinary man should also not turn up, or perhaps they should all turn up regardless of status, or only on alternate days or does it not matter?
I would have turned up - I think. |

Or like somebody I know - moved address and didnt receive any letters about it so was completely unaware of it!
Or maybe, like the rest of the UK, he is a victim of the useless British post office and the letter never arrived |
