A KIA touring car in Europe, at last😄. Great addition to TCR, should be popular in the Asian series.

After selling their Civic they could have better bought a TCR car. |

Very interesting teaser from official WTCC twitter
https://twitter.com/FIA_WTCC/status/727207750938296322 For some reason I feel that Sabine Schmitz is going to return for Nordschleife. But I hope they mean something more |

I read this quote in the TCR-article: Quote:
Somebody should tell Nika that sometimes silence is golden. Just shut up already and show yourself when you're ready, instead of making a fool out of yourself with all these empty statements... |

Kind of expected from NIKA. The team owner there is know for dodgy deals and not delivering whats promised etc. Not surprised they dont have the money. Its sad really, and not what we want to see. Just hope it wont harm or hamper the career of young John Bryant-Meisner in any way.

Had we ever figured out why the openings for the rear wheel on TC1 cars look ridiculous? Like, why they're so massive and weirdly shaped and leave like 10cm between the top of the tire and the arch itself?

Honda's flat floor is still under investigation.
Interestingly, it's something to do with offsetting the ballast. Would anyone out there know how that would be possible? Sounds rather trick to me. http://www.motorsport.com/wtcc/news/...-floor-734733/ |

http://hosszabbitas.hu/wtcc/tovabb-v...a-padlolemezet Honda use different flat floors depends of their "weight penalty", so they don't use added ballast weights, but they have different flat floors. As the article suggests JAS/Honda may think the rules define the minimum weight of the cars (1100kg with driver) but didn't forbid/prohibit the manufacturest to make heavier cars (for example 1140kg with heavier flat floor). |

Ah, so they make a heavier floor so they have to add less ballast?

Or they make a heavier floor to act as their ballast, and having it at the lowest point of the car would be less disadvantageous.
Is there a required place for the ballast to go? |
