The let us in about 15 minutes before the begining of the ace!

FG1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
It's half term next week, the old bat, ankle biters and I will be in the area and I'm sure that I'll find time to visit the grandstands. Last year they were putting up the temporary stands about 2-3 weeks before the race.

Alan said
"Everyone else, I don't know what post I'm on at Le Mans, I just asked for a post with other English marshals. When I get the details, I'll let you know."

This request will al,most certainly place you on post 31, which is the main English post, opposite the Garden Centre on the first part of the Mulsanne.

I am on 2nd chicane, post 61, come and say helo some time.

Received letter from the ACO today confirming marshalling arrangements, sign-on times, etc. This time next week we should be well into night practice. Cannot wait.

Good job, RD !

Do you wanna put the main place we are located ?

If you wanna find me, I'll be (between 14h00 and 17h00) in Michelin grandstands, place K30 ( ) then probably at Welcome for the meal, and looking for Kpy shop for some refreshments in the Village ! Then Tertre Rouge if nice weather, and back to grandstands, etc...

And if the weather is hot, I'll have a special sign you will recognize...

Not sure of my plans yet, somewhere around the end of the pitlane for the start and then not sure where I will be, but the esses at night, a trip to Mulsanne at night might be called for and then who knows....

Only 9 days to go....

I'll be on and off course, of course.

Maison Blanche, pits and paddocks, and the ACO front yard are my favourite haunts.

In terms of whereabouts, I expect to be on the tribunes somewhere opposite the poits from about 2 pm. We usually move on after about an hour and a half, migrating gently from the Dunlop Chicane down to the Esses and then Tertre Rouge over 1-2 hours. I suspect however the temptation to take a look at the new section will speed up the process. I'll be on top of the "Welcome Building" during the night, for sure.

Okay, anyone interested in agreeing a place to watch the start for those of us opposite the pits below the grandstands? (The cheap seats!)

rdjones, Aysedasi and his gang, me and my mate and no doubt others will in this area for the start, so how about trying to join up 2pmish opposite a certain pit? I prefer the pit exit end as there is a view up to Dunlop, but opposite the Bentley, MG, Morgan pits would all be possible.

Any takers?

(As for your plan for the first few hours Ayse - great minds think alike! Now who was it a couple of months ago who thought we were the same person!)

We're on the Eurotunnel on Wednesday night, then staying in Rouen at the Formula 1 hotel.. £8 each including breakfast!

Shall be in the Le Houx Annexe, five of us in a nasty 70's style brown tent with orange and brown flowered curtains.. I'm sure that won't help the hangovers.
