there is 2 tracks ive came up with
the trouble is that it looks really tight on that picture but it really isnt that tight !!!!
the 1 in green is my ideal track BUT It goes straight throught a residential Area so thats a no no, but the blue is possible. It would be aimed at BTCC this track, BUT the whole place will need to repaved and some parts will need objects moved from the road. And ill get a movie or a loads of pics soon !!!! Btw the purple is the pitlane :P, both of which would have plenty of room for a paddock area as the pits on both pictures are near industrial estates or a massive car parks . Also both are anti clockwise !!!! (to keep on driving on the left as we do in britain )

The green one is great, Wooshy. But isn't the stretch on the right a bit long? Judging from an other map I found, it's about a mile!

yer that mile "straight" is going through residential
althou it would go past the kidderminster harriers ground :P
but i need toget a cam corder for a lil while so i can get it or ill just go and take pictures but movie would be alot better cuz some of the corners are great cuz of the elevation change ...

I had an idea for an other street circuit. I was in Nijmegen yesterday and the roads entering the city from the north are nice and wide. So I came up with this:

The total length of the track would probably be around 4 km with the main straight over 900 m (!) and the pit lane about 550-600 m. The pits could be made longer to almost 800 m if I'm not mistaking.

So... tell me what you think!

Interesting.

Not much variation in the corners though, mostly slow acute angles.

It would help if we knew the direction, because a couple of corners would be interesting if run in a different direction.

The track is meant to be counter-clockwise, but I think it could easily be the other way 'round.

By the way, I'm not sure the penis-shaped extension on the left is wide enough.

There aren't many roads round here suitable for racing on, so i've had to go for a 10mi sportscar/endurance course on the A6177, B6326, & B6231 (see map http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.c...multimap.y=216) These are are relatively well maintianed country roads partially resurfaced only a few weeks ago. Downsides to this course are the large number of farms which will be entirely cut off during an event, and the two motorway crossings which are a potential danger. Attached is the circuit (run anticlockwise), the dotted line is currently a dirt track which can be built up to provide an alternative to the motorway crossings. I will add photos of the more interesting areas if/when i take them

Fechin 10 min rule.

Stonehaven image didn't upload right, and something seems up with Glen Clova on RSC, at least at my end, so uploaded that for safety too. Both clockwise.

Also, just to say, class tracks from everyone! Particular kudos to TR!

Here is a very quick and nasty "map" of my track (drew line in MS Paint ) I have also taken a few pics of a drive around the track, but they haven't all come out very well, although some very good motion effects resulted - not surprising really since the camera was actually in motion. I also forgot to take note of the distance!

I have included one of the 100 pics I took around the course as a preview, and the track layout. It runs broadly anti-clockwise, except for the three sections where it passes over itself.

I plan to set up an album of the photos, and mark on the map where they go, as per f1freak's track.

Edit: the photo is near the bottom of the track, at the section just above the work "Booroondara".
