Street Challenge

The major of Imaginarytown, 20 miles from New York has managed to get permission to hold an F1 race around the streets of the city, based around the central park. The only question is what will the layout be! That is up to you. The paddock of the circuit cannot include any buildings already in place. You may build just 1 extra road in the park if you require it & you cannot get rid of any of the existing features such as the ponds.

green = park/tree lined roads
grey = roads to work with
blue = water (none of this may be changed)
dark blue-green = existing buildings
dark grey = paved over areas

nb. where a building goes across a road it is not infact blocking it-it is just a bridge from 1 building to another, so use the roads as normal.

Nice circuits guys

I have a number of variations;

I have another, but it's playing up - i'll upload it later

I've uploaded two in here, but for some reason I can only see one - I in fact have three, to avoid confusion.

I really liked AF's track, so I used quite a lot of that. Just one tiny difference... plus I added gravel run-off and armco.

However, Bernie stabbed the mayor in the back by awarding the latest Grand Prix to Equitorial Guinea. Seeking an alternative, the mayor realised that a NASCAR race would be more commerically viable.

I really liked Lustigs go. Would be quite cool for a gp! I imagine it would have a Melbourne kind of feel about it.

Thanks, AF... but it hardly differs from yours, so you should get a large amount of the credit.

By the way, there weren't too many cool alternatives. The existing roads almost dictated this track.

I could find a couple of other interesting tracks using more of the roads outside the park. I have now added run-off, grandstands & armco barriers. Colours are slightly strange to show these details a bit easier.
number 1

& number 2

I prefer the second one, though I wasn't sure where to best locate the pits & I'm not sure about the solution that I came up with as it leaves no real pit & paddock room along the start/finish straight, let alone grandstand seating.
I'll post the tracks without their detail later to make them slightly easier to see.
