I really like the look of that schedule (despite the lack of ovals, which I think is a shame), I hope it turns out to be the official one. The addition of Mont-Tremblant in particular is very nice - always great to see classic tracks get a date

I believe they had no choice to satisfy North American OW fans as it would be too long outside the continent. Also notice that the final race will be in the USA. This is another thing American based fans have been asking for years.

My first thought was, oh goody, Portland's still on the list. And then I realized that it's the weekend before Le Mans. And Cleveland's the weekend after. Hmmm... they run in May, overlapping Indy, but it looks like a slam-dunk (aside from jet lag) for whoever wants to run Le Mans. I think Le Mans practice days are the first weekend of June?

But generally it looks GREAT. The idea of Vegas in April and Phoenix in November really appeals!

In other forums, there is a lot of talk about Road America becoming a joint-event with ALMS on Aug. 12 or 19....but that is contingent on what happens with the two European dates.

It's interesting that they have nearly a month, fore and aft, of the European dates. Might they be working on a UK date? that would be the cherry on the cake.

Things are comming togeather in better than I dared to hope for. It's going to make it much more difficult to wait for spring.
