40 minutes with nothing to do, so whipped up a quick airport track in the spare time: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3998364

Pit Straight would be on the runway which runs South-West to North-East, with the Start/Finish Line where I started the route. Easy pit-in and pit-out opportunities available. Long straights, followed by hairpins and chicanes, including the rather odd one on the West side of the circuit. Oh and its clockwise

Thought it would be quite good for something like the BTCC - another track North of the border perhaps? Certainly the Team Aon Focus' would do well here in their present form, and i reckon it needs another Snetterton on the calendar, so here it is.

Length is about 2.3 miles

Can't see there being too many neighbours complaining aboot the noise
unless of course you plan to race on the sabbath

Rather than line CalMacs pockets - how about Macrihanish for somewhere "out there"

Hehe, yeah wanted to do a track in this kind of area and the airport seemed the only option!

Anyone else got any thoughts on the track or the concept?

Campbeltown (Machrihanish) is a bit limiting as it's a single runway, not to mention the BAe Systems Hangar that's not supposed to be mentioned as unmentionable things fly out of and back into it.
