Is it possible Mark Howard will be returning in a BKR branded Subaru? Maybe I'm putting 2+2 together and getting 5 but if Gow is keen to reduce the number of cars in a team and BKR is no longer running the VWs, could they run a Subaru with help from BMR? Also allows Mark to run a different livery and maybe kept at a little distance from the main squad?

I very much doubt it. There was a semi public spat between BKR and Howard about unpaid bills and poor driving.

Talking of BKR - I haven't heard any more about the B-TEC series, do we think that will never happen now?

Nope. I don't think many people ever thought it would happen.

Most of BKR's staff are at 888 now anyway including the boss.

Many of BKR's recent tweets show that BKR were really unimpressed (to put it kindly) with Howard... quite entertaining actually

Collard at WSR - excellent news, personally I think he'll outscore Jordan going by his pace last season.

Best lineup of any other team in the series. Wonder if AJ was expecting to effectively be third driver in his chosen team this year?😋

Joking aside, great to see Collard back on the grid with WSR. He adds a great deal to the series, always looking to go forward and one the best overtakers out there, what the BTCC is all about for me!

A good quality line up. If anything PMR looking to struggle the most. Two drivers with zero ngtc experience trying to develop a brand new car. I bet they wish they knew Josh Cook was going to be without a drive as he'd be the man to take them forward.

Agree - fingers crossed they have a fully developed and competitive car by the end of the season ready for a championship challenge in '18, like BMR Subaru.

Would've loved to see Cook there, especially having been with the team before. For me, and as others have mentioned, Proctor needs a few more years in Clios. Chilton initially seemed really overconfindent - "5-10 wins" - and with a WTCC drive as well I can see him being demotivated.

Hopefully we will see a repeat of the Subaru success and not the Infiniti project....

Agreed except I'd swap AWE for Luke Davenport. Ant has a lot of FWD experience and that Audi looked like it was going well in Ollie Jacksons hands last year. I'd maybe add Collard, Jackson and Neal to people who'll be fighting for the title come the end of the season. Dark horse as Goff too.

So both Kia and Hyundai in TCR....

Can we finally say good bye to factory backed entries in the BTCC then ?

...and the last driver announcement (BMR) is tomorrow, meaning all drivers will be signed a month before media day. Guesses?

...unless it is Maximum who I believe have yet to formally announce Lines.

I don't think Cole will be a back marker, I can't see him troubling the podium at all but a season as a very regular lower points scorer is probably on the cards.

I'll go for Scott and BMR given the short space of time between this and Sutton's announcement. Although...(and I'm probably reading too much into this) I don't see the BTCC building up a pretty underwhelming announcement.

The only other option is if Stewart doesn't think he'll be fit enough for the first round and we have a temporary driver announcement. I can't see his forgoing the whole season unless he's had a big change of heart.

erm, there are no factory teams competing in TCR. theres not even a manufacturers championship in TCR.

the manufacturers are just building cars for customers to buy and race.

No way will Ant Whorton Eales be a back marker. He's the real deal the same as young Ash Sutton is. He'll be top 10 from the off.

The guys constantly at the lower end will be Depper, Davenport, Smiley, Cole, Lines, Chilton and right at the back will be poor Senna Proctor. No where near ready to be on the btcc grid yet.
