Pembrey last week-end
Peogress at Pembrey
It looks like the days of the massively overcrowded Pembrey paddock may be over. Last week-end the Renaults and the Supersports had their own allotted areas on the outside of the circuit and with plenty of spare space it worked well. The Pembrey staff from the Manager downwards worked hard on the Friday test day sweeping and levelling the surface where required, I even recieved a fax hand delivered by the cicuit manager. Unfortunately BARC got it a bit wrapped round their necks on the Saturday morning, but with practice it began to work well again with the scrutineers coming to us rather than us having to queue in the main area. Parc Ferme was behind the pit road and that also worked well. When we first arrived we had doublts about the viability of it all, but in the end it was certainly an improvement over being cramped in the main paddock, and the pit crews actually walked a shorter distance than that from the paddock warm up area to the pit road. Well done Pembrey and thanks. |

Bob, the whole circuit was also swept Friday after testing. I marshalled the test day and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. I had probably the best 3 days marshalling for a while.
racingdick am I very simple ? I don't understand your reaction to Bobs thread. |

I *HEART* Pembrey. It's just a shame that it's so far away from everywhere that half our championship never turns up to race there. That, and the fact that it always rains

Richy,
Believe me we only had a small shower early on Saturday morning, the sun shone virtually all of the three days, the only thing that stopped a sun tan was a fresh breeze off the sea. Strangely enough, it is the only cicuit in this country that I have never driven on in the wet. |

Bob... I marshalled all three days and the sun and wind really got to me.... I'm peeling like..... something that peels alot.. perhaps an onion !!!!
Pembrey has received planning permission to extend the circuit. All we need now is more marshals. |

pembrey usually gets the other kind of reaction..
admitidly the circuit is getting better, but still has a long way to go to reach other strandards I live in swansea and never see any advertising for race meetings. Thats always been there downfall. Ive marshalled at the circuit between 96-2000 and just generally got p****ed off with the place. |

Yeah I think terry Brown lives In Caerphilly, I have a great picture of the sports saloons in 96/97 I think it is it's three diffrent shoots that show 1 Darrian Mounting another, Unfortunatley they are in slide form so how do I get them on a computer, also they have just put a picture section up on the WRDA site so I would like to send mine in, If you could mail me some picture's from the past that would be awesome, because I've spent to many hours searching for some of the btcc one's, i was going to end but the trusty Cavelier broke down on the way there!!! Hope to hear from you soon
