People tend to hype up the prospect of announcements at Autosport, but very little is actually unveiled there. January 2019's edition only had Motorbase driver announcements and a few liveries if I remember correctly.

So I'm not the only one disappointed with a single Corolla... unfortunately prospect of a two-car Toyota team seemed realistic only late in 2018 when they announced the programme. Now I don't think it'll happen in close future. Shame. It shows how 'factory' this team really is...

Theres a bit of me thinking Toyota are setting up to do this properly when they switch to hybrids. Announcement today that Corollas are 100% hybrid now, no petrol versions.

Shedden and Butcher were up to something together I thought was mentioned a few pages back. Could they both be going to BTC?

Aidan Moffat Racing sold their Mercedes and TBL to BTC Racing.

Have Aidan Moffat Racing definitetly bought their new TBL from Team BMR or is it loaned?

Has the HMR Racing TBL been bought by Motorbase Performance, after it was previously on loan to them?

Well, if one goes by last year's press release from TOCA, then it would appear that Motorbase now owns the TBL, as that press release stated that the TBL was on lease from HMS last year. And this year's press release states that Moffat and BMR have one licence each.

Moffat still owns the same TBL he always had. One of the BMR licences was sold to BTC, and Ash is using the other.

Did Moffat sell the Mercedes and not the TBL that went with it to BTC?

I think he has a deal on the table elsewhere and has given WSR this deadline, presumably secured enough funding for a 'cheaper' team and seeing if they'll make the move to keep him.

So will the Mercedes be stripped to recreate 1 of the FK2’s ? Can imaging Dynamics would be happy about building an FK8 with used running gear?

Don't know, the deal was probably more about getting hold of the licence, with the benefit of also having a few spares in case they need them (or possibly to sell on)

By my reckoning and based on what has been posted on social media,

If Crees and Boardley sign with Team Hard that will leave Bobby Thompson looking elsewhere.

Shaun Hollamby has already said it is all change at AmD/Cobra so Rory Butcher is seat less (at the moment).

Senna Proctor is having to look elsewhere with Team BMR not entering any cars (in its own name).

Nic Hamilton & Mark Blundell I cannot see returning in 2020, along with I suspect Sam Tordoff, which is understandable in the circumstance.

Tom Chilton must be due a change of team, as he doesn't seem to stick around with one team for too long.

A tweet this evening seemed to indicate he would be doing Carrera Cup if not WSR.

Reckon (hope) Jake Hill will be in an AmD Honda. Would love to see Thompson in the other one too, but suspect Proctor will bring more cash.

They're all petrol and always were. Yeah yeah hybrid my arse. You won't get very bloody far if there's no petrol in the tank. They've just dumped the cheapo entry level one that didn't have the hybrid bits.

From a green friendly baby kissing marketing point of view = super duper.

Especially as the world is full of people who will believe any old crap if presented to them correctly.

But it was done for the most obvious reason - money. The petrol wasn't commercially viable as it sold in virtually non-existent quantities. The upsell to the bit more pricey but uses less juice hybrid is one the sales chaps are very good at.

Doubt Speedworks will expand either, they seem very happy as a one car unit. Pretty much the exact opposite of Tony Gilhams philosophy!

Now need to see if there is a new build FK8 in Dynamics shed paid for by Mr Bert... time for a parcel courier disguise
