CAMS Rebranding

The Confederation against Motorsport are rebranding themselves as Motorsport Australia in 2020, according to Speedcafe.

Wonder if Dan Murphy’s or BWS will be a major supporter or just a supplier?

I imagine that was a long committee evening.

'We need a new brand name for motorsport in Austalia;
'How about Motorsport Australia;
'Excellent, let go to the put'

They did the same here. So now we are governed by MUK. Which is marginally better than the original MSUK...

Now they can say all that historical bad ju-ju was the fault of the "CAMS"...

Its only a name change.... nothing else has changed in admin or structure or constitution. Yet they are clucking about it like they have invented the wheel or similar.

Strangely enough, the rumblings of this name change came about the time that MSA became MSUK.

So from the press release the main benefit will be to address the problem that " ‘CAMS’ or the ‘Confederation of Australian Motor Sport’ didn’t necessarily express the leading role we play to those unfamiliar with our sport."

Better let the FIA know of this development too - F for Federation by extension must also be confusing. Maybe the Australian Football League Commission (the governing body) needs to change too.

WOFTAM.

I got their survey about the name change some time back.

I figured there was a zero percent chance of it not happening.

Glad to see they listened to the all feedback from the survey.

Glad to see they wasted my money on this rubbish.

[sarcasm] Thanks CAMS. Youse are tops. [/sarcasm]
