It could also be the other aforementioned British GT invasion with an announcement of the 2 car (reality tv followed) Vantage program, after all it is TV land.

True. It is supposed to be 1 car in addition to the existing Drayson car if I read Murphy correctly.

There is a ALMS test session this afternoon according to the imsa schedule, but I can't remember, are all times Eastern, or are they local for the track?

Pacific. And if we are lucky and the system is up we will have Hindy for the testing sessions.

Did I miss something, isn't the first session 3pm local time, 6 pm EST? 6:30 and I'm not seeing anything (except St. Pete T&S) on the T&S link on the ALMS site.

No you did not miss anything per se. Hindy said there is problems still with connectivity due to the local phone co. and the track. And I have not found anything anywhere on the ALMS site or IMSA for the testing session so far!

Ryan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
At St. Pete, indycar.com streaming showed ALMS Qual on their feed even though they were not supposed to (this is what I have heard). indycar.com streaming has also shown USAC races at Richmond as well.
