A change of a tire starts you from the back, where did the Panoz start with an engine change from qualifying?

Yes, crazy strart to the race - something about a cone in the way??

Not a good one for BMW.

Just pitted, didn't seem as though it ran exceptionally farther than the other prototypes, but it seems solid.

Great - Pierre is up to third......

Johnny Mowlem said they aren't running hybrid today. Everything (minus one part) is homologated, but they aren't using the electric power.

sounds like the right hand needs to communicate with the left hand - wonder how long before any competition adjustments show up?

Fantastic GT3 Challenge race for Guy Cosmo - he's much faster than the Ford GT ! ! 1.56.939 vs 2.02.628 - way to go Guy!!

Watching on Speed right now. If those cones weren't placed right on the track, Jon wouldn't have collected one and the beginning fiasco might not have occurred. From the track views, the crowd is very significantly less than the last two years that we were there.

They said on RLM that they are running it but the battery strap is not homologation.. Where did you get that information?
Is it fitted but not being used?

Or have we different interpretations of the quote?

Audi Racer has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
A few things from this race
1.The challenge class was pretty good.
2.The P2 battle was tense(Boy did Guy Smith make it close their in the end. He kind of stayed ahead of fernandez to help the Leitzinger car. But in the last corner man did he but a huge block through the last turn.
3.Disaster for Rahal. No top speed at all either. Waith for Road America and mosport
4.That Zytek sounded identical to the Acura.

Why isn't the Zytek running the 4.5L engine? Last year at Petit we saw the 4.5L version out class the 4.0L.

Jon is a mad man at the start of ANY race and is always fun to watch. the #37 had loads of power, but no realiabilty, as always, which stinks, cause Clint and Jon are both great drivers.
but i am not sure why the cones were there and i agree, they helped cause the ugly start.

not really sure if i like the salt lake track or not...

Thought about packaging or weight first, but according to the Zytek datasheets the size is the same and weight of the 4.5L is even less. Higher cooling requirements? But I am really guesing ...

Maby the hybrid system they have designed just hasn't been adapted to the 4.5 yet?

Well, but it seems to be the same engine size, so probably only the bore is different. So shouldnt make any difference. And why developing the hybrid for the less powerful engine?
