LMP900 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Combining Brit GT & Euro GT

With both the Grids of the British GT Championship and the Euro GT Championship down to 20 something woudn't it be prudent to combine those grids for 2 or 3 races at, say, Donington Spa-Franchochamps and Silverstone.

It would make for a strong and exciting grid which should make for good racing. The brit GT Championship deserves more than 10 GT cars......

The rules aren't the same. The FIA has one "invitational" already, and that's the Spa 24hrs. (With this in mind, I don't think they'll have another race at Spa.)

Something needs to be done. With Warnock off the the FIA GT and TVR pulling the speed 12 in favour of the Tuscan R, only the saleens and the Viper will be left in the top class. Shocking considering we had McLaren, Porsche and Lister GT1's not too long ago.

MGF should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
From what I read in Autosport a few weeks ago, the GT class may well get dumped in favour of GTO plus a 'Light weight' GT Class (S2000's, Merc SLK's, MGF Trophy's etc)

yeah apperently so. the gt cars like the viper can run in gto but with less power. in one way im saddened because the big gt cars are superb. but with diminishing numbers and tvr moving to gto, so it seems, and others leaving, it seems that to promote the close and succsesful gto class as priority is a good move. hopefully next year will see even more competitors because of it higher status. 6+ Tuscans, maybe 4 ferraris, 1 morgan, several porsches and marcos'. hopefully the skylines, mustangs, and lotus' as well. one question will the ultimas, which have been getting quicker and quicker, want to run restricted in gto?

Good point, would there be any advantage for them to run in GTO?

Also, if GTO becomes the headline class, will that open the door to other cars that you would normally see in other championships, i.e JGTC etc....

No, probably something sub-GTO (national classes, one make racers, something like that). I believe it has been announced as the BRDC's goal for next year. The top class will be GT and GTO cars in one class, with equalised performance. It could work.

it could work but which of the top teams would want to take the step down which is what they will view it as. lawrence pierce, graham nash motorsport, i think not!
