Grand prix 2 - Monaco

I'm so happy!

I just recorded a time of 1:18.092 to take pole by over half a second on the hardest level! Could've gone even quicker but I ran slightly wide at the Grand Hotel hairpin and lost a couple of tenths!

So whats your fastest time then? Please don't make me look too bad!

Sometime last year I was tinkering about with GP2 at Monaco and did a mid 1:16, and I could've gone faster too, maybe a 15 with the ultimate lap... No joke, I really had it hooked up.

Since then I re-installed and regretfully forgot to save all the old car sets and lost this great car. Now I just can't get it tucked into that Loews hairpin and the 2 right handers following with the right compromise in balance to be quick onto casino square and through the swimming pool section.

Anyway, my current fastest lap stands at 1:17.327, so I still got you covered by 7 tenths there.

Is it easier with a steering wheel? Did you do your time with a wheel or keyboard?

If its a keyboard then its mighty impressive!

Actually its an impressive time no matter what!

Paul,
I don't have room for a wheel at home, so I just use a keyboard. All of the online sim-racing gurus use wheels, so I guess there is fair bit to be gained from using one.
