Nononsensecapeesh should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Now this is really is ridiculous, either Flash is coming back or he isn't, Tag's either got Simpson's Civic or he hasn't. There's two seats left on the grid and they're both proving the biggest mysteries in BTCC History, the new season starts in a mere matter of weeks, one of those seats has got to be resolved eventually.

Sheds could well end up starting the season if Neal isn’t fit with regards his injuries.

I'm guessing you're on about huff in which case would mean they must have some mega sponsor to pay the man.

Now that would be something, been hankering for Huff to come back ever since his one-off with PMR in 2017

He made it very clear back then though he wouldnt make a return if he wasnt getting paid very good money to do so.

Other contenders for the Motorbase seat: Dan Vaughan or Lewis Plato. Both drove for Motorbase in Carrera Cup last year and AFAIK haven't announced any 2020 plans yet.

All the more reason why I'm not raising my hopes.

A BTCC with 2 Plato's? An interesting thought....

how about Huff Teamwork running the ex-Simpson fk2 for Flash and Henry Neal keeps Dads seat warm meanwhile Collard turns up in the 3rd Ford? I cant think up anything more outlandish that has a grain of believeability now.

Which could potentially leave Dynamics with an interesting dilemma.

Imagine the discussions that would be going on in the garage if Shedden did something like pick up 2 wins and a podium at Donington?

The last three seasons he has started in the BTCC he's picked up a win, with a podium also in the last two seasons, so not beyond the realms of possibility.

To call this the biggest mystery in BTCC History is somewhat an exaggeration
I can think of a number of times who is in seats have been announced on the day or a day before media day, I can even remember cars and teams being unannounced until the day quite recently!

Don't bother calling Sherlock it will all work out

Never mind not announcing until Media Day, it wasn't that many years ago that Motorbase didn't sign their final driver until the morning of Media Day.

Sometimes I go OTT but then everybody does, gives us all something to talk about while waiting for further news at least.

Shows how spoilt we've become with getting information early what with the internets etc 🙂 imagine being in that press conference in 1994 when Volvo wheeled out the 850 Estate for the first time

When can we expect to see the Hyundais? Any danger of them turning a wheel before Silverstone? Anybody willing to camp outside Willie Poole Motorsport?

I thought I'd read somewhere that Exceler8 have the first car back at base and should be completed soon

If Shedden does sub for Neal in the first meeting and manages to be as close to Cammish it makes no difference, I can see Neal taking an enforced retirement.

I've got a feeling they could be dark horses this season. That Hyundai has all the makings to be very fast.

I would like to know more about this Shedden mystery. Theres no way Dynamics would let him try their car if he is signed at Motorbase, no matter how friendly they are. If anything I can see them rolling out a freshly built 3rd FK8 for him at media day and no Simpson racing. If this is the case then we have a proper fight on our hands this year. I really hope it happens

Well it is three weeks till media day, as has been said we are in for a truly enthralling season and I think that is true across the package.

Going to be a vintage year.

Yes, a very big tick on the sponsor front. Maybe enough to keep a Huffster happy. Or maybe any one of several ex WTCR pilots. Personally I think WTCR is going to die on it's backside soon; costs are stupid and several
manufacturers want out or have got out.
