Well Ant Whorlton-Eales is 22 & tested for them last season, so throw that name in the pot 😉

Further reasoning for the black Honda, they have launched a 'Black Edition' Type-R.

Scrolling through the 2016 BTCC support events the following had a race number of 5:

Frazer Robertson - Ginetta GT4
Frank Bird - Formula 4
Stephen Jelly - Porsches

Out of those I would guess Stephen Jelly, but only out of those with the above criteria.

The 5 might not be related to race number at all, but it probably isn't age this time so I'm not sure what else!!!

Glad to welcome Nige back to touring cars. I think he'll struggle at his age, but it'll draw in the crowds.

While I'd love to see him in a Motorbase run Focus, I think Jake Hill will be in the second AmD, though don't know of any links to '5' as the clue!

I'm guessing the 22 bit is referring to British GT not BTCC.

Wow, Mr Gilham has certainly done a fine job of stirring up discussion. I'm amazed at how cryptic many here believe it to be.

I think so too, Howard Fuller was recently confirmed for their GT program and his number is 22.

So the BTCC part must be referring to "someone borrowed?"

Aron Smith is the 2nd AMD driver I believe. A few BKR team members have made the move too.

Well nearly as surprising as Jeff Smith driving for his own team again, we finally have official confirmation that Tingram is returning with Speedworks and Austin will be returning with Handy! Excuse me while I go for a lie down to cope with the shock
