I suppose if CL or GT are not available, Renee Gracie could get a late callup from RD

Personally having had a collar bone injury, the very last thing I would have wanted two weeks after surgery would have beeen the stresses of shoulder straps of a racing harness fully tightened.... accompanied by the inevitable weight transfer loads from heavy braking and cornering.

Yep Shoulder Straps and race cars go hand in hand.

I dont expect him to race and if so dont expect him to last or be competitive, however I have been known to be wrong before

Bloody good effort by Mr van Gisbergen to ignore the pain and drive from the back to the front!
Even Mr Crompton & Mr Skaife thought he would do 2 laps and handover to Mr Tander..
He will be a very sore boy tonight... be interesting to see if tomorrow shows up another driving solution

Bloody gutsy effort, Mr van Gisbergen!

If he wins tomorrow, they should put the number 1 sticker on the car.

Great Supercar race supporting the S5000s.

Those tintops might just one day eclipse the openwheelers in popularity.

Brilliant race and a great performance from SVG.
Weather may be about to turn though, so a bit of rain might make tomorrow interesting.

Fair chance! With plenty of Watties products on the table too.

Wow that was impressive from SVG - drive through the field on pace & commitment to win it, all with a broken collar bone - might effort.

And the Munted Mustang fans are everywhere crying PARITY

Not sure where they were all of last year.

SVG looks to have championship winning good fortune and form, and it looks as if his 2 closest championship rivals look to have it in for each other.

Last time a team and driver won this many races in a row there was cause for a parity adjustment. 🤷🏼*♂️

The most effective parity adjustment might be to break his other collarbone.

And yet by the end of that season the team in question was on an downhill slide that they never really reversed.

REALLY?

Did you watch anything AT ALL last year?

Let me spell it out for you.

Penske left the sport with his megabucks. Scotty Mac went to Indycar. DJR got 2 NEW DRIVERS. They are nowhere.

Cameron Waters who finished second last year, and Chaz Mostert look like the real fast rising stars, but BOTH of them this year have had mechanical failures, both teams have thrown away races with mystifyingly bad pit calls, and these two KEEP CRASHING INTO EACH OTHER.

Literally if you are calling for a parity adjustment now do us all a favor.

1. Dig a hole in the ground
2. Put your head in it
3. Fill it in with dirt

Well put. Can't blame or penalise SvG / 888 for others not being able to get their act together.

If you take SvG out of the equation, the parity is pretty good.

All things aside, you have to hand it to SVG, Anyone racing with the broken collarbone and to win 3 races is exceptional and NOT expected

This anti-parity position is untenable. The basis of the series is victories split 50:50 and close battles for the win between different brands. Clearly parity is broken.

If the winning ledger continues to be unbalanced, it has to happen. There are larger rear wing endplates ready to be bolted back on to the Mustang, upon a Tickford submission which I trust will be sympathetically received by Supercars technical HQ.

Ford Performance built an excellent vehicle and had a huge number of penalties applied to -- from lead that is still carried in the roof, to smaller rear wing plates. Concerningly, these penalties were applied in record time -- the car did not race as homologated for even one full season. It is absurd wouldn't you say? How can you do an excellent job against such biased regulators!?

McLaughlin was able to overcome a disadvantaged car. We were very displeased about the unjust penalties to the Mustang in the previous season and the one before!

Why should Waters have to drive twice as hard as van Gisbergen, to have half the chance!? It's utterly absurd.
