Only practice of course and wet too. Going to be a variable weather weekend - but then it IS Melbourne in September

Must say, the weather today turned it on. If only Victoria could send some up here to Queensland, hot, dry and burning up here, going to be hard for them when they come up here to the Gold Coast. Hail predicted for tomorrow at Sandown, if its like last year it will be good, so long as Golding doesn't crash

Makes no sense. There seem to be a number of technical failures on #5 and it seems to take a LONG time for the team to identify what they are, and fix them.

Not to oversimplify it, but unbolt old, rebolt new is one way to correct...

I don't get why they don't do that, obviously as we know its a hard sport, but if you cant find something, pull whatever it is out, replace it with new and whatever you pulled out, analyse it at the workshop later

Mr Courtney was in an interview somewhere (can't find the link) saying they had a top speed issue, and were replacing a transaxle overnight. He said that if a draggy transaxle didn't fix the issue, they would replace the engine tomorrow.

In past seasons, with the same issue, the team may have replaced both overnight.

Instead, tonight the crew is busy, and if the warm up shows no improvement, the team's day is in hyperdrive to get a powerplant changed between practice & qualifying...
