I thought both Volvo's would join the races, so Storkenfeld must be added to the list.

It was earlier reported that both Volvos would join, then it became only 1, so the list is correct (see the Volvos at Anderstorp thread for more info)

Golden Motors will enter two Honda Accords for Alexander Lvov and Andrey Smetsky.

I wonder if Lvov can scorfe some independents-points. Nice to see a Honda. Smetsky probably will drive at the back off the field. They will be the 4th and 5th Russian already joining the WTCC. Maybe it's time for a Russian round?

Perhaps thats part of the reason for the entries, to help to try to persuade the WTCC to race in Russia.
I think its strange how there are so many Russian entrants when there is no Russian round, but when the WTCC goes to other European circuits, there are one or two extra entries max (Anderstorp excepted)

Its good to see a driver of the calibre of Alexander Lvov entered, no offence to the Russian Bears drivers or his team mate but Lvov is considered the best touring car driver in Russia

Great to see Rosenblad back, he really is a great guy.

Loving the fact Rydell is back is well

And Dahlgren in a Volvo !!!

I'm really looking forward to this event, i think it could be a cracker, and i would expect Rydell to be up there

Lets hope so. Who is Anderstorp most likely to suit? Is it another BMW track or will we see Rickard and the guys fighting at the front?

If I remember when the track was last used for the ETCC the Alfa's seemed to do well.

Reminder to everyone - the predictions competition is now open for entries click here.

A chance of another Thommo double then! Should make for a pretty good couple of races

Anderstorp has quite a long straight, so, that is good for the Alfa's and the BMW's. The seat's and Chevy's will probably have a harder time.

I wouldn't say that the BMW gets an advantage of a long straight...

Anyhow, looks like Pontus Mörth will drive a Chevvy in this race.

In that case, Seat will have an even harder time... Menu has a great opportunity to become the best FWD-car in the championship, with Muller on 55kg ballast.

That would be awsome to see him back racing in Sweden again, been missing him in STCC, was great fun to see him a few years ago.

Has anybody seen something like a programme for the weekend? I can't seem to find anything about the support series other then the Formula Masters.

This will probably be a tracked suited to the BMW's as it's quite fast. However, I wonder if the independent swedes could do some damage, Rydell?

They haven't announced anything else yet, but they've said that they've got three more support classes lined up and will reveal them "soon".

Edit: Now that I look they have announced them!

Aw, boring series... Was hoping for Nordic Supercars or something interesting.

BTW, Rydell is running works Chevy, not independent. I belive him and Ekblom in the BTW Team UK will have the biggest chance of a good position.

Thought that they were invited, does anyone know if they said no or if there where other reasons?

I think it´ll be verry interesting to see what Ekblom can do against the WTCC drivers

Very poor side-programme indeed, that's a bummer. I surely hoped on the Nordic Supercars as well.
